Product description
Plastic bottle, brown, black pump sprayer, 200 ml is a ready-made set for spray preparations that are applied in larger quantities and over a larger area: cleaners, textile and home sprays, hair tonics, and plant care sprays. The brown PET bottle reduces light transmission, helping to protect light-sensitive contents such as preparations with essential oils or plant extracts. The black pump sprayer dispenses liquid by pressing the trigger, making application quick and comfortable even with frequent use. Both the bottle and the sprayer are declared as suitable for contact with cosmetics, and the set is intended for cosmetic and technical preparations.
Key benefits
- Light protection – brown PET transmits less light than clear plastic, which helps slow changes in the scent and colour of light-sensitive contents.
- Lightweight, shatter-resistant packaging – a PET bottle weighs a fraction of glass and withstands drops, making it suitable for preparations used in the kitchen, bathroom, when cleaning, or outdoors.
- Convenient area dispensing – the pump sprayer delivers approximately 0.2 ml with each press, making it easy to treat a larger surface without unnecessary pouring.
- Practical volume – 200 ml is a reasonable size for household cleaners, fresheners, or hair sprays that will be used up before they have a chance to deteriorate.
- Matching neck type – the bottle and sprayer have the same thread, so the set seals and dispenses without having to test different combinations.
What the set is suitable for
The pump sprayer is designed for aqueous and water-dilutable liquids with low viscosity. The set is therefore best suited for:
- household and eco-friendly cleaners – all-purpose cleaners, degreasers, glass cleaners, preparations with surfactants and vinegar;
- textile and home sprays – air fresheners, laundry scent sprays, mattress and upholstery sprays;
- hair tonics and sprays – light leave-in conditioners, hair waters with hydrolates, detangling sprays;
- plant and animal care – leaf misting, plant extracts, coat sprays;
- hydrolates and body tonics, if you prefer a larger dose than from a fine mist sprayer.
Thicker emulsions, gels, oils, and preparations with undissolved particles are not suitable for a pump sprayer. The mechanism either cannot draw them in or becomes clogged. For such contents, it is better to use a bottle with a lotion pump or a disc top closure.
The sprayer's dip tube is supplied longer than the height of the bottle. Before first use, cut it at an angle so that it just reaches the bottom. The sprayer will then draw the contents right down to the last few millilitres without drawing in air.
Nominal and total volume
Two volumes are stated for bottles. The nominal volume is the quantity the container is intended for under normal filling. The total volume to the brim is the physical volume up to the neck. The difference between them is a reserve for the sprayer's dip tube, which takes up some space once screwed in, and for expansion of the contents with temperature changes. The bottle should therefore be filled to the nominal volume, not to the brim. An overfilled container will overflow when the sprayer is attached, and pressing the trigger may cause sputtering instead of an even spray.
What's good to know
Preparation before first filling. We recommend rinsing both the bottle and the sprayer before use, sanitising with isopropyl alcohol or ethanol, and allowing them to dry completely. Water residue in the dip tube would dilute the first doses and could introduce micro-organisms into a preservative-free preparation.
Initial priming. A new sprayer requires several dry presses before the dip tube fills. This is normal behaviour of the mechanism, not a defect.
Repeated use. The set can be reused. Rinse it with warm water between refills and allow it to dry. When changing preparations, flush the sprayer with clean water so that residues of the previous contents do not react with the new one.
Labelling. The smooth cylindrical shape of the bottle labels well. For cleaning sprays, consider a moisture-resistant label, as the container comes into contact with water and cleaning preparations.
PET tolerates aqueous solutions, surfactants, and diluted acids, but is not intended for undiluted essential oils, high concentrations of alcohol, or aggressive solvents. For preparations with a higher proportion of essential oils or alcohol, we recommend testing with a single bottle: if the wall becomes cloudy, softens, or the scent changes, the container is not suitable for that content.
Temperature. PET is not intended for hot filling. Allow the preparation to cool to room temperature before filling; otherwise the bottle may deform.
Recycling. The bottle is made of PET and the sprayer of PP. Once empty, separate them and place them in sorted plastic waste collection.
