Technical parameters

The PET material should not be exposed to high temperatures. In case of excessive thermal load, there is a risk of deformation of the packaging, deterioration of the closure function and changes in mechanical properties. The packaging is therefore not intended for washing in a dishwasher or for boiling. Gentle manual cleaning at lower temperatures is recommended, without aggressive cleaning agents that could damage the material.

Is it possible to use this plastic bottle repeatedly?

Yes, the packaging can be used repeatedly with appropriate handling and as long as there is no visible damage, always with strict adherence to hygienic principles. Before each new filling, the bottle and closure must be thoroughly cleaned and disinfected, ideally using technical alcohol, for example IPA or ethanol. For this purpose you can use the products IPA 99 % isopropyl alcohol or ethanol 96 % denatured plant‑based. Disinfection helps to minimise the risk of microbial contamination and prolongs the stability of your formulations.

Is the PET bottle suitable for sterilisation with boiling water or in a dishwasher?

This PET bottle is not intended to be exposed to high temperatures. In contact with boiling water, steam or when washed in a dishwasher, the packaging may deform, the sealing may deteriorate and the mechanical properties of the material may change. For hygienic reasons we recommend cleaning the packaging manually with lukewarm water and a suitable cleaning agent and then disinfecting it with an alcohol‑based preparation, in order to maintain the safety and functionality of the bottle without thermal stress.

How should I correctly recycle this plastic bottle if I no longer want to use it?

If you decide not to use the packaging any further, we recommend first emptying it, removing any product residues as far as possible and then recycling the bottle according to the recommendations given in the material parameter for the specific product on the Handymade.sk website. PET packaging is usually sorted into the container intended for plastics. The closure is often made from a different type of plastic, so it is advisable to separate it before disposal. The exact method of sorting may differ depending on local waste management rules, therefore we recommend also following the instructions of your collection system.
