Product description

The amber plastic bottle 100 ml with a smooth white cap with inner dropper is designed for liquid cosmetic products that are dispensed in small amounts. Amber PET limits the amount of light reaching the contents, so it suits facial and body oils, serums, toners and alcohol-based extracts, whose ingredients degrade faster in light. The bottle is lightweight and shatter-resistant, so you can take it travelling or send it to customers without worry.

The cap is smooth, without ribbing, with a 24/410 neck finish, and it has an inner dropper inside, a plastic insert that narrows the neck to a small opening. The contents do not pour out all at once but come out in drops or a thin stream, depending on how you tilt and squeeze the bottle. The set is declared suitable for contact with cosmetics; it is not intended for food.

What the set is suitable for

  • Facial and hair oils – the inner dropper dispenses oil in drops, without spilling over the neck and without the need for a dropper.
  • Serums and light liquid emulsions – the thin stream lets you apply a precise amount directly onto your palm or skin.
  • Toners, facial waters and hydrolates – we recommend checking the suitability of a specific water-based formulation with a preservative on a single bottle.
  • Alcohol-based tinctures and extracts – with a higher alcohol content or undiluted essential oils, test how the PET behaves with the contents beforehand.
  • Samples and travel sizes – the low weight and shatter resistance reduce the risk of damage during transport.

How to work with the packaging

Before the first filling, wash the bottle and the cap, disinfect them with isopropyl alcohol or ethanol and let them dry completely. The cap with inner dropper is fitted only onto the filled bottle.

Fill to the nominal volume, not to the brim. The nominal volume is the amount the packaging is designed for in normal filling. The brimful capacity is the physical volume up to the neck and is larger. The difference provides a reserve for the inner dropper insert and for the expansion of the contents when the temperature changes. If the bottle is overfilled, the contents are pushed out through the inner dropper when you screw on the cap.

Do not fill hot contents into a PET bottle. Let emulsions, heated oils and extracts cool to room temperature, otherwise the plastic may deform and the neck may stop sealing.

When combining the bottle with another closure with a 24/410 neck finish, check the seal and the dispensing with your specific formulation before you fill a larger batch.

Good to know

The amber colour of the plastic reduces the amount of light reaching the contents, but it does not remove it completely. Store products with sensitive ingredients away from direct sunlight, even in this bottle.

The inner dropper works best with liquids of low to medium viscosity. Thick serums with a gel consistency or dense emulsions flow slowly or not at all through the small opening. For such products, consider a closure without an inner dropper or a pump.

Do not expose the packaging to aggressive chemicals. Undiluted essential oils, aggressive solvents or products with a high alcohol content may stress the plastic over the long term. With such a formulation, fill a single bottle first and watch for several weeks whether the contents change scent or the bottle wall softens.

After washing and drying, the bottle and the cap with inner dropper can be filled again. We recommend reusing them only for the same type of product, so that residues of fragrance or colorant from the previous contents are not carried over into the new ones.

The bottle is made of PET and the cap of PP. After use, both parts belong in plastic waste.

Frequently asked questions

What is the inner dropper in the smooth cap of a plastic bottle for?
The inner dropper is an insert in the neck that narrows the bottle opening and dispenses the contents in drops or a thin stream. It prevents a liquid product from pouring out all at once when the bottle is tilted, and it lets you measure out an amount without a dropper. It suits oils, serums and toners of low viscosity; thick products flow through it with difficulty.
Does an amber plastic bottle protect the contents from light?
Yes, amber PET absorbs part of the light and so slows the degradation of light-sensitive ingredients in oils, serums and extracts. The protection is not complete, as the bottle wall remains translucent. Therefore, store products containing vegetable oils, vitamins or essential oils away from direct sunlight, even in this bottle.
How much does the 100 ml plastic bottle actually hold?
The bottle is filled to the nominal volume of 100 ml; the brimful capacity is larger and you can find it in the product parameters. The reserve is for the inner dropper insert in the cap and for the expansion of the contents when the temperature changes. If you fill the bottle to the brim, the contents are pushed out through the inner dropper when you screw on the cap.
Is the PET bottle suitable for essential oils and alcohol-based tinctures?
Essential oils diluted in a carrier oil and common alcohol-based extracts can be filled into this bottle, but we recommend checking how the packaging behaves with your specific formulation. Undiluted essential oils and products with a high alcohol content may stress the plastic over the long term. Fill a single bottle first and watch for several weeks whether the scent of the contents or the softness of the wall changes.
Which closures fit the amber plastic bottle 100 ml?
Closures with a 24/410 neck finish fit the bottle. If you combine parts yourself, we recommend checking the seal and the dispensing with your specific product before you fill a larger batch.
