Plastic bottle, clear round, 24/410, 300 ml, without cap

A clear plastic bottle made of PET with a nominal volume of 300 ml is intended for everyday cosmetic products, from shower gels to tonics. The clear material reveals both the colour and texture of the contents, making it suitable wherever the product needs to appeal visually as well. PET is lightweight and shatter-resistant, which you will appreciate with products used in the bathroom, in the shower, or when travelling.

The bottle is supplied without a cap. You choose the dispensing method depending on what you fill it with – a thin tonic needs a different closure than a thick shampoo.

Suitable products

The bottle is most commonly filled with rinse-off products – shower gels, shampoos, conditioners, and liquid soaps. It also works well for body lotions, tonics, micellar waters, hair and body sprays, and other water-based or gel formulations with a liquid to medium-thick consistency.

For very thick creams and butters, a jar or pot from which the contents can be easily scooped is more suitable. Beyond cosmetics, the bottle can also be used for household technical products, provided they are compatible with the material.

Nominal and total volume

Nominal volume is the quantity the bottle is intended for under normal filling. Total brim-full volume is the physical volume up to the neck and is somewhat larger. The difference between the two provides clearance for the pump or sprayer dip tube and for expansion of the contents when the temperature changes. The bottle should therefore be filled to the nominal volume, not to the brim – otherwise the contents will overflow when fitting the closure and soil the thread and label.

The choice is primarily determined by consistency. Thin, water-based formulations dispense well with a spray, liquid soaps and body lotions with a pump, and shampoos and shower gels with a screw cap.

What to know before filling

Before first use, wash the bottle, sanitise it with isopropyl alcohol or ethanol, and allow it to dry completely. Water residues in the bottle unnecessarily burden the product's preservation system.

• Compatibility test – with a new formula, it is worth filling one bottle and monitoring over several weeks whether the shape of the packaging, the clear wall, or the scent and colour of the contents change.
• Labelling – the round wall is suitable for self-adhesive labels; the dimensions needed for label design are in the product parameters. Apply the label to a dry, degreased surface.
