Plastic cap, 24/410, ribbed, white

Plastic cap 24/410 with a knurled white surface is a simple screw closure for bottles and small bottles with the same thread finish. It works wherever you need to seal the contents securely without dispensing: on stock bottles of toner, hydrolat, facial or massage oil, on tinctures and extracts, on in-progress production batches, and on samples that are opened only occasionally.

The cap body is made of polypropylene (PP); the seal is provided by a foam polyethylene (EPE) insert that, when tightened, seats against the rim of the neck.

Practical use

The cap screws onto a neck with a 24/410 thread and is tightened by hand. No force is required; the seal is provided by the insert, not by pressure.

Good to know

Before first use, wash the cap and optionally disinfect it with ethanol or isopropyl alcohol, then allow it to dry completely. Moisture trapped under the insert can contaminate the contents. The cap can be reused, but at each new filling check that the insert is not cut, deformed, or saturated with the previous contents.

The cap protects the contents from leakage and dust, not from light. UV protection is provided by the colour of the bottle. Polypropylene is a recyclable plastic; rinse the cap before disposal.
