Product description
A plastic pump dispenser with a 24/410 thread turns a standard bottle into a practical pump-top container. The contents are dispensed cleanly, with one hand and without opening the bottle, with each press delivering approximately the same dose.
Best suited for liquid soaps, shower gels and shampoos, conditioners, body lotions and lighter creams. The dip tube can be trimmed to fit the height of the bottle, making the dispenser suitable for taller containers as well.
Where the dispenser makes work easier
- Rinse-off cosmetics – liquid soaps, shower gels and shampoos are used with wet hands; the pump therefore prevents water from entering the bottle.
- Body lotions and light creams – the contents do not come into contact with fingers, reducing the risk of microbial contamination during use.
- Consistent dosing – each press delivers approximately 1 ml, making it easier to use concentrated products economically.
- Technical use – the dispenser is available in both cosmetic and technical grade, making it suitable for household cleaning products as well.
What contents the pump can handle
The mechanism works reliably with liquids and emulsions that flow on their own. Very thick creams, butters and balms are drawn up with difficulty or not at all. Products with solid particles, such as scrubs with salt, sugar or ground kernels, may clog the valve.
With gel textures and thicker shampoos, the result depends on the specific formulation. A simple test is decisive: if the dose dispenses smoothly after a few presses and the piston returns to position, the formulation is suitable for the dispenser.
After fitting onto a full bottle, the pump needs to be pressed several times without dispensing until the mechanism primes. Only then does it deliver a full dose.
Good to know
Bottle and neck. The dispenser fits bottles with the same neck type as stated in the specifications. Suitable bottles and ready-made bottle-and-closure combinations are available in the Handymade range. With a custom combination, we recommend checking the seal, dosing and container behaviour with the specific formulation.
Tube length. The tube should reach just above the bottom of the bottle. A longer one must be trimmed before fitting.
Filling the bottle. The bottle is filled to its nominal volume, meaning the volume it is designed for under normal filling conditions. The total volume to the brim is the physical capacity up to the neck. The difference between the two is the allowance for the pump mechanism, the tube and the expansion of the contents. A bottle filled to the brim will overflow once the dispenser is screwed on.
Preparation before first use. The dispenser is rinsed by pumping through clean water, sanitised by pumping through isopropyl alcohol or ethanol, and left to dry thoroughly.
The inside of the mechanism cannot be fully dried or inspected. For water-based products, reliable preservation is therefore recommended, and for products intended for sale always use a new dispenser.
Material sensitivity. Concentrated essential oils and strong solvents may degrade the plastic over time. For formulations with a high proportion of these, a compatibility test is recommended before filling a larger batch.
Appearance. The white-and-silver finish combines plastic and aluminium. It has a neutral look, making it suitable for clear, white and coloured bottles alike.
