Product description
Plastic pump dispenser 24/410, black and silver, 180 mm
Plastic pump dispenser 24/410 turns any bottle with a 24/410 neck into a practical dispenser that delivers product with a single press, no unscrewing required. Suitable for liquid and semi-liquid products used repeatedly: liquid soaps, shower gels, body lotions, shampoos, conditioners, lighter creams and cleansing gels. Each press measures approximately 1 ml, ensuring consistent dosing with minimal waste.
The black cap and pump are complemented by a silver aluminium element, giving the dispenser a refined look suited to both bathroom cosmetics and professional-use formulations. The plastic parts are made of polypropylene (PP). The suitability of the packaging for use with cosmetic products is backed by technical documentation; the dispenser is available in both cosmetic and technical grade.
What the dispenser is suited for
- Hygienic dispensing – product does not come into contact with hands during use and does not return into the bottle, which is especially valuable with liquid soaps and products with lower preservative content.
- Consistent dose – approximately 1 ml per press makes it easy to estimate consumption and helps avoid using more than necessary.
- Long dip tube – fits taller bottles as well; for shorter bottles, simply trim the tube to length with scissors.
- Convenient one-handed use – no unscrewing required, ideal for products used in the shower or at a washbasin.
Use and assembly
The dispenser screws onto bottles with a 24/410 neck. Before fitting, verify that the bottle has the same thread type; in the Handymade range you will find bottles with this neck finish as well as ready-made bottle-and-dispenser combinations.
Trim the dip tube so it reaches the bottom of the bottle without bending. Cutting the end at an angle prevents the tube from resting flat against the bottom and losing suction on the last portion of product. After filling the bottle and screwing on the dispenser, press the pump several times until the tube is primed and dispensing begins.
Do not fill the bottle to the brim. Leave room for the dip tube and pump mechanism; otherwise product will be forced out through the neck when the dispenser is screwed on.
The dispenser works best with products of liquid to medium consistency. Thin tonics dispense without issue; thick creams and butters may not be drawn up at all, or may dispense unevenly. When working with your own formulation, test the dispenser with the specific viscosity before producing a larger batch.
Good to know
Before first use, rinse the dispenser with clean water, or sanitise it with isopropyl alcohol or ethanol and allow to dry completely.
Products with a higher proportion of essential oils, solvents or alcohol may over time affect the plastic parts and seals. With such formulations, check the tightness and function of the pump before placing the product on sale. Coarse particles in the product (exfoliating beads, undissolved pigments) may clog the mechanism.
During transport of filled bottles, pressure on the pump head may force product out. Transport bottles upright or inside outer packaging that protects the pump head.
The dispenser combines plastic with an aluminium element; when disposing of it, separate it from the bottle and treat it as mixed-material packaging.
