Potassium hydrogen tartrate, also known as cream of tartar (cream of tartare), is a by-product of wine production. It is the potassium salt of tartaric acid.
This natural raw material is used in cosmetics mainly in the production of fizzy bath bombs. It helps stabilize the product, adds volume and ensures a uniform texture.
Dosage for bath bombs: 3 - 5 %
It is also often used in combination with vinegar as an ecological paste-like household cleaning agent and is also an ingredient of children’s modelling clays.
