Product description
White dropper with tamper-evident ring, 103 mm
Dropper with cap for 18/415 thread turns a bottle into a drop-by-drop dispenser. It is suitable wherever the content is applied in small, precise amounts: facial serums, facial and hair oils, oil blends with essential oils, tinctures or concentrated active ingredients. The white cap looks clean and neutral and can be combined with any bottle with the same neck finish; ready-made bottle + dropper sets are available in the range.
The dropper is supplied as a complete unit: a glass tube, a threaded cap made of polypropylene (PP) and a soft silicone bulb used to fill and empty the tube. The cap includes a tamper-evident ring that detaches upon first opening, so the customer can immediately see that the bottle has not been opened. The packaging is suitable for direct contact with cosmetic products; a declaration of conformity is available with the product.
Key features
- Precise dosing – the content is applied drop by drop, which conserves concentrated serums and oils and makes it easy to follow the recommended amount.
- Tamper-evident ring – it breaks off on first unscrewing, giving the customer assurance of intact packaging.
- Glass tube – glass does not react with oils, essential oils or alcohol-based solutions and does not absorb the scent of the contents.
- 18/415 thread – a common neck type for serum and oil bottles; the dropper fits all bottles with this neck finish and a matching height.
- Cosmetic grade – the packaging is designed for direct contact with cosmetic products.
How to use the dropper
Once the bottle is filled, the dropper is screwed onto the neck and tightened so that the tamper-evident ring clicks below the edge of the thread. To use, squeeze the bulb, submerge the tube in the contents, release to fill it, then dispense the contents drop by drop onto the skin or into the palm.
The tube length must match the bottle height. A correctly chosen dropper reaches just above the bottom so that the remaining contents can be drawn up and the tube does not rest against the bottom when closing. When choosing, compare the dropper length with the bottle height.
Fill the bottle to its nominal volume, not to the brim. The nominal volume is the quantity the packaging is designed for under normal filling. The total volume up to the neck is larger and the difference is the reserve for the tube. If the dropper is inserted into an overfilled bottle, it will push some of the contents out through the neck.
Suitable contents
The dropper works best with liquid and slightly viscous contents: vegetable and facial oils, oil serums, water-based serums with lower viscosity, hydrogel serums, tinctures, blends of essential oils in carrier oil. Thick creams, butters or high-viscosity gels cannot be drawn up by the tube; for these, a jar or a pump bottle is more suitable.
It is not suitable for contents that are to be sprayed, or for products that require airtight packaging. Each time the tube is opened and filled, air enters the bottle; for oxidation-sensitive oils it therefore helps to use a smaller bottle and to add an antioxidant to the formulation.
The silicone bulb is durable, but with prolonged contact with highly concentrated essential oils or solvents it may soften or change shape over time. For such formulations we recommend testing the dropper's behaviour with the specific content in a trial pack.
Good to know
Preparation before first filling. We recommend washing the dropper before use, disinfecting it with isopropyl alcohol or ethanol and allowing it to dry completely. No water should remain inside the tube, as it would cause cloudiness in oil-based contents.
Reuse. Both the glass tube and the cap can be washed and used again. Once the tamper-evident ring has been removed, the dropper still seals and functions normally; it simply no longer carries the sign of an unopened package.
Choosing a bottle. Bottles with an 18/415 neck and ready-made bottle + dropper sets are available in the Handymade range. For your own combination, we recommend checking the seal, the correct tube length and the behaviour of the packaging with the specific formulation.
Recycling. The dropper is made of several materials. Before disposal, separate the glass tube from the plastic cap and bulb and sort the individual parts by material.
