Product description

White glossy dropper, 84 mm

Dropper with a white glossy cap dispenses serums, facial oils and tinctures precisely drop by drop. It consists of a screw cap, a soft bulb and a glass pipette that draws up and releases the contents. Fits vials and bottles with thread type 18/415. The white colour looks clean and complements clear, amber and blue glass alike.

The pipette length should match the height of the vial. When it reaches almost to the bottom, you can empty the bottle completely without having to tilt it.

Key benefits

  • Precise dispensing – contents are drawn up by squeezing the bulb and released drop by drop, which is practical with active-ingredient serums and oils where every drop counts.
  • Glass pipette – glass does not react with common cosmetic ingredients and does not absorb fragrances or colorants, so the product's character remains unchanged during dispensing.
  • Soft silicone bulb – compresses easily even with frequent use and retains its shape; suction is smooth and consistent.
  • Screw cap in PP – seals securely on an 18/415 neck and protects the contents from spilling during normal handling; the plastic is lightweight and durable.
  • Cosmetic-grade quality – the packaging is suitable for direct contact with cosmetic products and meets the applicable regulatory requirements; the declaration of conformity is available on the product page.

How to use the dropper

Screw the dropper onto a filled vial in place of the standard cap. Squeeze the bulb before inserting the pipette into the product, then submerge the pipette and release the bulb to draw up the liquid. Dispense drops by applying gentle pressure directly onto the skin, into the palm or into a mixing bowl when blending a formula.

When filling the vial, keep in mind that the pipette displaces part of the volume. Fill the vial to its nominal volume, not to the neck, otherwise the contents will overflow when the dropper is screwed on.

Before first use, disassemble the dropper, wash the cap and pipette, disinfect with isopropyl alcohol or ethanol and allow to dry completely. Any residual moisture in the pipette could degrade an anhydrous oil-based serum.

Suitable for products such as

  • Facial serums in both water-based and oil-based formulas, where a few drops are dispensed at a time.
  • Facial and hair oils, including blends containing diluted essential oils.
  • Tinctures and alcoholic extracts that are dosed drop by drop into water or other preparations.
  • Active-ingredient concentrates and samples during formula development, when a small precise amount needs to be measured out.

The dropper is not suitable for thick creams or gels. The pipette cannot draw them up and the bulb cannot release them drop by drop. A jar or a pump bottle is the right choice for those textures.

Good to know

The dropper is a closure for bottles and vials with thread type 18/415. Compatible vials and ready-made bottle-and-dropper combinations are available in the Handymade range. When assembling your own combination, we recommend verifying the seal, the pipette length relative to the bottle height and the dropper's behaviour with your specific formulation.

The silicone bulb is resistant to common oils and water-based preparations. With concentrated essential oils, pure alcohol or solvents, we recommend verifying long-term bulb stability, as certain substances may gradually soften or discolour the flexible material.

The dropper is intended for repeated use. Between refills, simply disassemble it, wash, disinfect and allow to dry. The glass pipette is fragile and may chip if dropped or screwed down onto a hard surface. Do not use a damaged pipette.

With serums containing sensitive active ingredients, do not leave the contents drawn up in the pipette for extended periods. After dispensing, release the bulb to return the liquid to the vial and avoid unnecessary exposure to air.

Frequently asked questions

Which bottles fit the white glossy dropper 84 mm?
The dropper fits vials and bottles with thread type 18/415. The pipette should reach almost to the bottom of the vial so the contents can be emptied completely. If your bottle has a different height, check that the pipette is neither too long nor too short. Ready-made vial-and-dropper combinations are available in the Handymade range.
Is the dropper suitable for an oil-based serum?
Yes, the dropper works well with facial and hair oils and oil-based serums. The glass pipette does not react with oils and the bulb draws them up and releases them without issue. With very thick oils, dispensing is slower and the drops are larger, which should be taken into account when following recommended dosage.
Can the dropper be used for tinctures with a high alcohol content?
Yes, droppers are commonly used for tinctures; both the glass and the PP cap tolerate alcohol well. With prolonged contact with pure alcohol or concentrated essential oils, we recommend checking the silicone bulb for stability, as the flexible material may change over time. Test one dropper with your specific formulation before using it across an entire batch.
How is the dropper cleaned for reuse?
Disassemble the dropper, wash with warm water and a mild cleanser, disinfect with isopropyl alcohol or ethanol and allow to dry completely. It is important to dry the inside of the pipette as well, so that residual moisture does not contaminate an anhydrous product. If the bulb still carries the scent of the previous fill after washing, use a new dropper when switching to a different fragrance.
Why does the contents overflow when the dropper is screwed on?
Overflow occurs because the vial was filled to the brim rather than to its nominal volume. The nominal volume is the quantity the container is designed for under standard filling conditions. The total capacity to the neck is greater, and the difference provides room for the pipette and any expansion of the contents. Always fill the vial only to the nominal volume stated in the product specifications.
Is the dropper suitable for creams or gels?
No, the dropper is not intended for thick textures. The pipette can only draw up liquid to slightly viscous contents; the bulb cannot release a cream or thick gel drop by drop. A jar or a pump bottle is better suited for creams and gels, dispensing a dense texture more conveniently and hygienically.
