Product description

White matte dropper

The dropper is a screw cap with a dropper mechanism that allows liquid preparations to be dispensed precisely drop by drop. Reach for it wherever repeatable and controlled dosing matters — when applying a small, precisely measured amount to the skin or adding concentrated ingredients to a formulation.

Thanks to the glass tube, it is particularly suitable for serums, facial and body oils, tinctures, tonics and essential oil blends. Glass is resistant to most cosmetic ingredients, so it can handle alcoholic and oil-based contents where plastic dispensers are less suitable.

What the dropper is made of

  • Glass tube – draws up the contents and is chemically inert, so it does not react with them; handles essential oils and alcoholic tinctures without the risk of unwanted substances migrating into the preparation.
  • Silicone bulb – when squeezed, creates a vacuum and draws in the liquid; the soft material allows gentle and gradual release drop by drop.
  • Screw cap (PP) – fits onto the threaded neck and holds the tube in place.

Compatibility and contact with cosmetics

The dropper has an 18/410 thread, so it fits bottles and vials with the same neck type. Ready-made bottle and dropper combinations as well as compatible bottles with this neck are available in the Handymade range; with your own combination, we recommend checking the seal and cap behaviour with your specific formulation.

The dropper is suitable for contact with cosmetic products and meets the relevant regulatory requirements.

Good to know

It is important to match the tube length to the bottle height — the tube should reach just above the bottom, neither resting on it nor sitting too far above the contents.

Before first use, disassemble the dropper, rinse and disinfect with isopropyl alcohol or ethanol, then allow to dry thoroughly — particularly the glass tube and silicone bulb, where moisture can otherwise linger.

With thicker oils and serums the tube draws more slowly; very viscous butters, gels or pastes cannot be dispensed through it. With essential oils and alcohol-based contents, the glass tube is resistant; however, it is advisable to rinse the silicone bulb after use, as concentrated essential oils gradually affect soft materials over time.

The silicone bulb draws the contents in only when squeezed during aspiration — after each use, check whether any liquid has remained inside it and rinse and dry it as needed.

The dropper is designed for repeated use — simply disassemble, rinse and dry after emptying. When disposing of it, separate the glass tube from the plastic and silicone parts, as it is a combination of several materials.

Frequently asked questions

Which bottles and vials does the dropper fit?
The dropper fits bottles and vials with an 18/410 threaded neck. Before purchasing, check the thread type of your bottle in its specifications; ready-made bottle and dropper combinations with this neck are available directly in the Handymade range.
Is the dropper suitable for essential oils and alcoholic tinctures?
Yes, thanks to the glass tube, which is resistant to essential oils and alcohol and does not react with them. The contents thus remain unchanged. We recommend rinsing the silicone bulb after dispensing, as concentrated essential oils gradually affect soft materials over time.
Is the dropper suitable for thick serums and oils?
For medium-thick serums and facial oils, yes — the tube draws them in a little more slowly. Very viscous products — butters, thick gels or pastes — cannot be dispensed through a dropper; for these, a jar, pot or pump dispenser is more suitable.
Is the dropper suitable for water-based contents?
Yes, the dropper handles water-based tonics, hydrolates and light serums, dispensing them drop by drop. With all water-based and unpreserved contents, pay attention to the cleanliness of the tube and bulb to avoid introducing microbial contamination into the preparation.
What is the difference between a dropper and a pump dispenser?
A dropper dispenses the contents drop by drop and is suited to precise measuring of small amounts, such as serums or concentrates. A pump dispenser releases a larger, roughly consistent dose with each press and is more practical for products intended for everyday, quick application.
