Before first use, check whether the bottle has the same neck type as the pump and whether the thread is clean and undamaged. Place the pump straight onto the neck and tighten it evenly, but do not overtighten the thread "by force" so as not to damage the sealing surfaces. Then press the dispenser several times until the system fills with product and the vacuum needed for smooth pumping is created. When the formulation changes (thickness, oil content), we recommend performing your own dosing test and checking that no product is leaking around the thread.

The pump can be reused while maintaining full functionality, provided that you follow basic hygiene rules at each refilling and visually check the condition of the mechanism. Before reuse, the pump must be mechanically cleaned as thoroughly as possible and then disinfected with a suitable alcohol-based preparation, for example IPA 99 % isopropyl alcohol or Ethanol 96 % denatured plant-based. Before placing it in sorted waste, it is advisable to remove any product residues or rinse the packaging with a small amount of water. Then separate the pump into its main parts (e.g. body, tube, any separate plastic elements) and dispose of them in the appropriate plastics container, if local recycling rules allow this.
