Plastic cap with safety lock and dropper insert 18 mm white smooth is a practical closing system for precise dosing of liquids into a suitable bottle or medicine vial. Thanks to the integrated safety lock and dropper insert, it provides controlled, hygienic and safe dosing, which is ideal for cosmetic and other liquid products that require more precise application and reliable closure of the contents.
This type of cap with dropper insert is intended to be combined with compatible bottles and medicine vials with a corresponding neck type, in order to ensure correct sealing and the desired mode of application. Packaging and closure combinations that are created directly on Handymade are tested and functional. However, for all combinations we always recommend performing your own compatibility test (sealing, dosing and behaviour of the packaging in contact with the specific formulation).
All technical parameters of the packaging are listed in the enclosed Packaging Quality Certificate and in the product parameters.
The cap with safety lock and dropper insert is intended to be firmly screwed onto a compatible bottle or medicine vial with a matching neck type. After filling the container with the solution, tighten the closure so that the thread seats around the entire circumference. At the first opening it is necessary to release the safety lock according to the direction of rotation indicated on the closure, or by a normal twisting movement. During dosing, hold the bottle vertically and let the drops flow freely through the dropper insert without excessive squeezing or vigorous shaking, so that the dosing is even and predictable.
The cap with dropper insert can be used repeatedly under certain conditions, but it is recommended to keep it for one type of product in order to minimise the risk of cross-contamination. When reusing, it is essential to observe hygienic principles – before refilling, both the cap and the bottle must be thoroughly cleaned and disinfected with a suitable agent. For disinfection we recommend using isopropyl alcohol or ethanol, for example the products IPA 99 % isopropyl alcohol or Ethanol 96 % denatured plant-based. Allow the disinfected parts to dry completely at room temperature away from sources of heat, and during refilling check whether the closure still seals reliably and the dropper insert doses evenly.
If you decide not to use the cap further, we recommend first removing any remaining contents – allow it to drain and, if possible, rinse it with lukewarm water to minimise product residue. Then adapt the subsequent method of recycling to the type of plastic indicated in the parameter table for the product on the Handymade.sk website, where you will find the assigned recycling symbol and the recommended waste type. As a rule, plastic caps are sorted into the container designated for plastics, but always respect local waste separation regulations and the instructions of your collection yard or municipality. In the case of a combination of different materials, it is advisable to separate the individual parts from each other, if the design of the closure allows it.
The dropper insert is most suitable for low to medium viscosity liquids for which you require controlled dripping – for example facial serums, plant and essential oils, aromatherapy blends, concentrated perfume bases or tinctures intended for external use. For more viscous emulsions, the flow may be less smooth, so we always recommend testing the behaviour of the specific formulation in combination with this type of dropper insert before the final filling of the entire product batch.
To select a suitable packaging, you can use the advanced filter, which you will find in the upper part of the page after clicking on the relevant packaging category. In the advanced filter you can easily narrow down the offer according to key parameters such as type and diameter of the neck, container size, packaging colour and material used. Thanks to this, you will quickly find compatible bottles, medicine vials or jars for a specific closure or dispensing component and you will be able to assemble a functional packaging combination exactly for your needs.
