Black dropper 52 mm – drop-by-drop dispensing for bottles with an 18/410 neck

Black dropper dispenses serums and oils precisely drop by drop and fits any bottle with an 18/410 thread. It is particularly suitable for facial serums, facial and body oils, essential oil blends, tinctures and active-ingredient concentrates. The black colour looks understated on brown, blue and clear glass alike, letting the label stand out.

The dropper consists of a plastic (PP) threaded ring, a silicone bulb and a glass tube. The bulb provides suction, the ring holds the dropper on the neck, and the glass tube comes into contact with the product. The tube length of 52 mm is the key measurement when choosing – it must match the height of the bottle so that the tube reaches just above the bottom.

How the dropper works

Squeezing the bulb pushes air out of the tube. When the tube is submerged and the bulb is released, the tube fills and the product is then dispensed drop by drop with gentle squeezing. The drop size depends on the viscosity and surface tension of the contents – a light oil or aqueous serum flows in fine drops, while a thicker gel-consistency serum draws up more slowly and produces larger drops. The number of drops per millilitre is therefore not universal, and it is recommended to measure this for a specific formulation.

Suitable for products such as

• Facial serums – aqueous and oil-based serums applied in small amounts to the face, eye area or décolleté.
• Facial oils and beard oils – dispensing a few drops directly into the palm without contaminating the neck.
• Essential oil blends – diluted aromatic and aromatherapy blends where precise dosing matters.
• Tinctures and herbal extracts – alcohol-based extracts dispensed drop by drop.
• Technical use in production – dosing colourants, fragrance oils or active ingredients into smaller batches.

The dropper is not suitable for thick creams, high-viscosity gels or preparations with particles (scrubs, suspensions) that would clog the tube or could not be drawn up.

Good to know

• Choosing by bottle – the dropper fits any 18/410 neck, but the tube length must match the height of the specific bottle. Bottles with the same neck and ready-made bottle + dropper sets are available in the Handymade range. For a custom combination, we recommend checking the height and seal on a single unit.
• Preparation before first filling – disassemble the dropper, wash it, rinse the glass tube, disinfect with ethanol or isopropyl alcohol and leave to dry completely.
• Contact with cosmetics – according to the technical documentation, the dropper is suitable for use with cosmetic products.
• Reuse – after washing and disinfecting, the dropper can be used again. The bulb may become less elastic over time, at which point the dropper should be replaced. Product is not stored in the bulb.
• Recycling – this product consists of multiple materials; before recycling, separate the glass tube from the plastic ring and the silicone bulb.
