The dispenser is designed for common cosmetic and auxiliary oils and works best with low- to medium-viscosity oil preparations. We always recommend carrying out a trial filling in order to verify whether the dosing corresponds to the viscosity of your specific product and whether the flow and the mechanism’s re-closing are reliable.

Before fitting, make sure that the bottle neck is clean, dry and free of product residues. Screw on the dispenser evenly, without excessive force, until you feel a slight resistance from the seal. Then fill the bottle, close it with the dispenser and carry out a leak test – briefly turn the bottle upside down and gently shake it to verify that no contents are leaking around the thread or the dispensing head.

The dispenser can be reused provided that strict hygiene rules are observed and that it is compatible with the given type of formulation. Before each new filling, the dispenser must be thoroughly cleaned and subsequently disinfected, for example by using IPA 99 – isopropyl alkohol (/ipa-99-isopropyl-alkohol-1-l/){:target="_blank"} or Etanol 96 % denaturovaný rastlinný (/etanol-96-denaturovany-rastlinny-1-l/){:target="_blank"}. After disinfection, allow all parts to dry completely so that no residual moisture or cleaning agent enters the filled product.

For long-term use it is advisable to regularly wipe the external parts of the dispenser free from oil residues, thus preventing the sticking of moving components. If possible, occasionally rinse the dispenser with a suitable solvent that is compatible with your product in order to remove deposits. Avoid exposure to aggressive chemicals that could damage the plastic material or impair the sealing, and after each cleaning always check the smooth operation of the dispensing mechanism.

If you do not plan to reuse the dispenser, we recommend recycling it according to the material information given in the parameter table for the product on the Handymade website. Before handing it over for collection, it is advisable to remove product residues in order to facilitate the recycling procedure. Then place the dispenser in the appropriate sorted waste according to the type of plastic specified in the parameters of the given product.
