Product description

Plastic bottle with black dispenser 250 ml is a ready-to-use set for liquid and semi-liquid products dispensed in small amounts: from liquid soap and shampoo to body lotion and massage oil. The transparent PET bottle shows the colour of the contents and the remaining amount, it is lightweight and does not break as easily as glass when dropped, making it suitable for the bathroom, at the kitchen sink and in parcels sent by post. The dispenser releases the contents by pressing the head, without unscrewing and without the hands coming into contact with the product inside the bottle.

The set as a whole is approved for direct contact with food, making it suitable for home-made oils, syrups, liquid dressings and herbal infusions. It is equally declared as suitable for contact with cosmetic products; the declaration of conformity and certificates are available with the product.

How the set works

  • Dispensing by pressing – one press of the head releases approximately 1 ml of content, which is a standard dose of liquid soap or shampoo. Two to three presses are sufficient for body lotion, so no more product is used than necessary.
  • Hygienic use – the contents of the bottle do not touch fingers and the packaging remains closed. For water-based products, this reduces the risk of introducing contaminants, though preserving the formula remains necessary.
  • Visible contents – the transparent wall allows you to monitor the colour, any phase separation and when to refill. At point of sale, it shows the colour of the product without opening.
  • Durable and lightweight material – PET withstands drops on tiles and shipping in parcels and significantly reduces parcel weight compared to glass.

What fillings it is suitable for

The dispenser works best with liquids and liquid to medium-viscosity emulsions: soaps, gels, shampoos, conditioners, lotions, light creams, oils and aqueous solutions. A thick body cream, butter or high-viscosity gel pumps with difficulty or not at all; for such textures we recommend testing the pump with a small sample or choosing a different type of closure.

PET handles both water-based and oil-based fillings without issue. For products with a high proportion of alcohol or with undiluted essential oils, it is advisable to verify the material's behaviour with the finished formulation, as concentrated solvents and essential oils may stress the plastic over time. Standard cosmetic concentrations of essential oils in emulsions and soaps are not a concern.

The transparent bottle does not protect the contents from light. Products sensitive to light, such as formulations with vitamin C, retinoids or unstable plant oils, should be stored in a dark container or in a cupboard away from direct sunlight.

Nominal and total volume

Nominal volume is the amount the bottle is designed for under standard filling conditions. Total volume to the brim is the physical volume up to the neck and is slightly larger. The difference provides a margin for the dip tube and pump body, which displace some of the contents upward when screwed on, and for the expansion of the filling with temperature changes. Fill the bottle to the nominal volume, not to the brim; otherwise the contents will overflow through the neck when the dispenser is attached.

Preparation and reuse

Before the first fill, wash the bottle and dispenser with warm water, disinfect with isopropyl alcohol or ethanol and allow to dry completely. Flush the dip tube by submerging it in clean water and pumping several times, then pump empty so that no water remains in it.

After attaching the dispenser, the first few pumps being empty is normal: the dip tube needs to fill first. If the dip tube extends beyond the bottom of the bottle and bends, shorten it with a sharp knife so that it ends just above the bottom and does not draw in air.

When changing the filling for a different product, disassemble the dispenser into its separable parts, rinse them with warm water and allow to dry. Residues of oils in the dip tube and valve would otherwise mix with the new contents.

Do not pour hot contents into the bottle. PET softens and deforms at higher temperatures, so pour emulsions and soaps only after cooling to room temperature.

The bottle withstands repeated washing. When sorting waste, unscrew the dispenser: the bottle is PET, the dispenser is PP, and each material belongs in plastics according to local rules.

Other closures for this bottle

Other closures with the same neck type, as stated in the parameters, also fit the bottle, and ready-made bottle and closure combinations are available in the Handymade range. For custom combinations, we recommend verifying the seal, dispensing and packaging behaviour with the specific formulation.

Frequently asked questions

Is the 250 ml plastic bottle with dispenser suitable for liquid soap and shampoo?
Yes, liquid soap, shower gel and shampoo are typical fillings for this set. The dispenser releases approximately 1 ml with one press, which corresponds to a standard handwashing dose, and the transparent bottle shows when it needs refilling. We recommend testing thicker gels with a small sample to check that the dispenser pumps them smoothly.
Can the 250 ml plastic bottle with dispenser be used for food?
Yes, the bottle and dispenser are suitable for direct food contact, so the set as a whole is approved for food use. It is suitable, for example, for cooking oil, syrup, liquid dressing or herbal infusion. Before first use, wash and dry the set and fill it with cooled, not hot, contents.
Does the transparent PET bottle protect the contents from light?
No, the transparent PET bottle does not block light and the contents are exposed to daylight in the same way as in clear glass. For stable products such as liquid soaps, gels and most emulsions, this does not matter under normal use. Formulations with light-sensitive substances should be stored in a dark container or in a cupboard away from direct sunlight.
Why should the 250 ml bottle with dispenser not be filled to the brim?
Because the dip tube and pump body displace some of the contents upward when screwed on, and the filling needs room to expand with temperature changes. The bottle is filled to the nominal volume, which is less than the volume to the brim; this difference is an intentional margin. When overfilled, the contents overflow through the neck when attaching the dispenser.
Can I wash the 250 ml plastic bottle with dispenser and use it again?
Yes, the bottle and dispenser can be washed and reused. Wash the bottle with warm water and disinfect with ethanol or isopropyl alcohol, flush the dispenser by pumping clean water through the dip tube and then pump empty. Allow both parts to dry completely before the new fill so that residual water does not dilute the new contents.
Is the 250 ml plastic bottle with dispenser suitable for oil or alcohol-based products?
For vegetable and massage oils yes, both PET and PP handle oil-based fillings and the dispenser pumps them without difficulty. For products with a high alcohol content or with undiluted essential oils, we recommend verifying the material's behaviour with the finished formulation, as concentrated solvents may stress the plastic over time. Standard cosmetic concentrations of essential oils in emulsions are not a concern.
