Clear plastic bottle, disc top cap, rose gold matte, 100 ml

A transparent plastic bottle with a capacity of 100 ml and a disc top cap is designed for liquid and semi-liquid cosmetic products dispensed in small amounts with one hand: shower gels, shampoos, conditioners, body lotions, facial tonics and massage oils. The clear PET material reveals the colour and texture of the contents, and the lightweight construction makes the bottle suitable for the bathroom, shower and travel. The rose-gold matte cap with a white centre gives the simple bottle a refined look that works well in gift sets and small-batch private-label cosmetics.

The set consists of a bottle and a cap with the same neck type. Both components are declared as suitable for contact with cosmetic products.

How a disc top cap works

The cap opens by pressing one side of the disc, which flips the dispensing opening on the opposite side. The contents are dispensed by gently squeezing the bottle, and after use the disc is pressed back flush. The cap does not unscrew during normal use, so it cannot be lost, and the contents are exposed to air only through the small opening.

• One-hand dispensing – practical in the shower or when applying to skin with the other hand occupied.
• Small dispensing opening – allows a precise amount to be measured out and limits spills if the open bottle is knocked over.
• Flexible bottle wall – PET can be squeezed and springs back to its original shape, making it easier to dispense thicker products.
• Visible contents – the clear wall lets you see at a glance how much product remains and whether its appearance has changed.

Which products it suits

The disc top is suitable for contents that flow but are neither completely thin nor too thick. Gels, liquid soaps, shampoos, conditioners, body lotions and lighter emulsions dispense well. Oils and tonics can also be dispensed, though they flow out faster, so the bottle should be squeezed with care.

Thick creams, butters and pastes are difficult to push through the small opening, and some content clings to the walls. For these textures a jar or a pump-top container is more practical.

Nominal and total volume

Nominal volume is the amount the bottle is intended to hold during normal filling. Total brim-full volume is the physical volume up to the neck and is slightly larger. The difference provides clearance for the cap and for expansion of the contents when temperature changes. The bottle should therefore be filled to the nominal volume, not to the brim. Overfilling causes the contents to be pushed into the thread and dispensing opening when the cap is tightened.

Useful things to know

Preparation before filling. It is advisable to wash the bottle and cap before first use, disinfect them with isopropyl alcohol or ethanol and allow them to dry completely. Residual moisture in the container shortens the microbiological stability of the product, especially when the contents contain no preservative.

Filling temperature. PET deforms under heat, so hot contents should not be poured into the bottle. Emulsions and gels produced hot must be allowed to cool to near room temperature before filling. For the same reason, the bottle should not be sterilised by boiling or in an oven.

Material sensitivity. PET performs well with standard aqueous, surfactant-based and emulsion products. With a high proportion of essential oils, concentrated alcohol or solvents, we recommend testing the behaviour of the container on a sample over several weeks, as the wall may cloud or soften.

Cap. The cap combines aluminium and polypropylene. The matte surface is more susceptible to scratching, so filled bottles should be stored in a way that prevents the caps from rubbing against each other.

Labelling. The smooth bottle wall is suitable for self-adhesive labels. Apply to a dry, degreased surface, ideally before filling or after thoroughly wiping the bottle. The dimensions required for label design are listed in the product parameters.
