Fine Mist Sprayer, 24/410, black, glossy gold collar

Plastic pump sprayer 24/410 turns any bottle with the same neck finish into a ready-to-use spray. It is a mechanical sprayer with a black head and a glossy gold aluminium collar that gives the packaging a dark, uniform look and pairs well with black, brown and clear bottles. It is designed for cosmetic products and is particularly suited to facial toners, hydrolats, hair sprays and refreshing waters — that is, thin liquids that need to be applied evenly and without direct hand contact.

Key features

• Hygienic dispensing – the contents are released only when the head is pressed; no fingers go into the bottle and nothing spills out. With water-based contents this reduces the risk of contamination.
• Small, repeatable dose – each press delivers approximately 0.12 ml, making it easier to apply the right amount to skin or hair while reducing waste.
• Plastic and aluminium construction – the body and mechanism are made of PP plastic; the collar is aluminium with a glossy gold finish. The sprayer is lightweight and does not add noticeable weight to the packaging.
• Cosmetic and technical-grade quality – in addition to cosmetics, it is also suitable for working solutions in a workshop, for example ethanol for mould disinfection or water for humidifying during soap production.

Use and bottle selection

The sprayer fits any bottle with a 24/410 neck finish. The thread size is listed in the parameters of each bottle; compatible bottles and ready-made bottle-and-sprayer combinations are available in the Handymade range. For your own combination, we recommend checking the seal and the sprayer's behaviour with the specific formulation, especially if the bottle comes from a different supplier.

It works best with thin, aqueous or mildly alcoholic liquids: toners, hydrolats, floral waters, water- and alcohol-based spray deodorants, hair waters, air fresheners and fabric sprays. Thick serums, oils, emulsions and contents with particles (scrubs, undissolved powders) cannot be dispensed through a mechanical sprayer. They clog the nozzle or flow in a stream rather than producing a fine mist.

When filling, leave some headspace below the neck. A bottle has a nominal volume it is designed for and a larger total capacity up to the brim. Once the sprayer is screwed on, the dip tube and valve take up part of that space, and a bottle filled to the brim would push contents out through the neck when the cap is tightened. Always fill to the nominal volume, not to the brim.

Good to know

• Preparation before first use – rinse the sprayer with clean water or pump it several times with ethanol and allow it to dry thoroughly before attaching it to a filled bottle.
• First pumps – the head needs to be pressed several times 'dry' until the dip tube and valve are primed. It helps customers to note this on the label or in the instructions.
• Essential oils and solvents – plastic parts and seals may change properties over time with high concentrations of essential oils, concentrated fragrance or strong solvents. For such contents, test one unit first.
• Reuse – the sprayer is not designed to be disassembled. Once the bottle is empty, flush it with warm water and ethanol and let it dry. Dried residues, especially from contents with glycerin or extracts, will clog the nozzle and disrupt the spray pattern.
• Storage of unused units – store in a dry, clean environment in a sealed bag or box to keep dust out of the mechanism.
• Recycling – the sprayer combines plastic with an aluminium collar and therefore cannot be sorted as clean plastic. Disposal method depends on the local collection system.
