Black plastic bottle with a volume of 1 l with a black screw cap is a complete set for larger formats of liquid products: fabric softeners, laundry gels, liquid soaps, shampoos, shower gels or household cleaning products. The bottle is made of HDPE, a lightweight and shatter-resistant plastic that handles everyday use in the bathroom or laundry room without issue. The cap is made of PP.

The black colour also serves a practical purpose. The bottle wall is opaque, protecting the contents from light. This is appreciated by products containing dyes, fragrance components or plant extracts. The wide neck makes filling easier, and the tall cap — familiar from fabric softener bottles — screws on with ease. The set is suitable for contact with cosmetic products; it is not approved for contact with food.

What the set is suitable for

• Laundry detergents and fabric softeners – the wide neck allows easy pouring into a measuring cup or directly into the washing machine dispenser.
• Liquid soaps, shampoos and shower gels – the bottle works as a refill or family-size pack used to top up smaller pump-dispensed bottles.
• Cleaning products – a technical-grade bottle suitable for household surfactant-based cleaners.

The cap is a screw type with no dosing opening. The product is therefore dispensed by pouring, making the set better suited to liquid or medium-viscosity products than to very thick gels.

Nominal and total volume

Two figures are distinguished for packaging. The nominal volume is the amount the bottle is designed to hold under normal filling conditions — in this case 1 l. The total volume to the brim is the physical capacity up to the neck and is slightly larger. The difference between them provides headspace for the cap and for expansion of the contents with temperature changes. The bottle should therefore be filled to the nominal volume, not to the brim.

What to know when filling and using

Before the first fill, we recommend washing the bottle and cap with warm soapy water, rinsing thoroughly, disinfecting with isopropyl alcohol or ethanol, and leaving to dry completely. Residual water in the packaging places an unnecessary burden on the product's preservation.

We recommend allowing the product to cool down before filling. Plastic softens at higher temperatures. If the bottle is sealed with warm contents, a vacuum forms as it cools and the walls may collapse inward.
