Plastic cap for fabric softener bottle, 1.5 l, pink

The plastic screw cap for a 1.5 l fabric softener bottle in pink is a screw closure for the 1.5 l fabric softener bottle from the Handymade range. It seals the bottle filled with household laundry and fabric care products, but works equally well for larger volumes of liquid soaps, shower gels or shampoos that are filled into this bottle.

The pink colour of the cap is a practical way to distinguish the contents of bottles at a glance. If you fill several types of products into the same bottles at home or in the workshop, the cap colour helps to tell fabric softener from washing gel, or different scents of the same product, without reading the label.

What the cap is suitable for

• 1.5 l fabric softener bottle – the cap is designed for a bottle with the same thread type as stated in the product specifications. Together with the fabric softener bottle from the Handymade range, it forms a ready-made combination.
• Household laundry and cleaning products – fabric softener, washing gel, liquid dish soap or all-purpose cleaner. The closure can be unscrewed and screwed back on repeatedly without losing its shape.
• Cosmetics in larger packaging – liquid soap, shower gel, shampoo or conditioner as a refill pack for topping up smaller bottles. The packaging material is suitable for use with cosmetic products; the declaration of conformity is stated with the product.
• Colour coding – one bottle, different cap colours for different scents or types of products.

Good to know

The cap is supplied as a separate part, without the bottle. It is made from polypropylene (PP), a lightweight plastic that withstands water, surfactants, diluted alkalis and the common composition of laundry and cleaning products and water-based cosmetic products. With concentrated essential oils, fragrance compounds and organic solvents, the plastic may soften over time or absorb the scent. For such contents, we recommend testing the cap's behaviour on one bottle before filling an entire series.

Before first use, wash the cap in warm water with washing-up liquid and leave it to dry completely. Follow the same procedure when changing the contents, to prevent the scent or residues of the previous product from transferring into the new one.

The bottle filled with the finished product should be filled to the nominal volume, not to the rim of the neck. The headspace between the liquid level and the cap prevents the contents from being pushed into the thread when closing, and gives it room to expand with temperature changes. When using your own combination of bottle and closure, we recommend checking the seal of the filled bottle lying on its side or turned upside down, especially if the product will be transported.

The cap is made from a single type of plastic and, once no longer needed, belongs in plastic recycling.
