Plastic fine mist sprayer, 24/410, black, ribbed collar

Plastic spray pump 24/410 turns any bottle with the same neck finish into a practical sprayer. It mechanically converts thin, watery liquids into a fine mist, making it suitable for facial tonics, hydrolats, hair mists, air fresheners, and cleaning or disinfecting solutions. The black finish with a ribbed collar tightens easily even with wet hands, and the transparent dust cap protects the nozzle from accidental activation.

Suitable applications

• Tonics and hydrolats – thin aqueous solutions are the ideal match for a mechanical spray pump. The mist distributes evenly over the skin without hand contact.
• Hair and body mists – lightweight aqueous or hydroalcoholic formulations with solubilised oils that do not form droplets.
• Room and fabric sprays – solutions of fragrance materials in alcohol or water intended for dispersal into the air or onto textiles.
• Cleaning and disinfection in production – a bottle filled with isopropyl alcohol or ethanol for degreasing moulds, tools, and work surfaces.

The spray pump is not intended for thick emulsions, gels, or pure oils. Viscous contents will either not draw up at all, or produce a stream instead of a mist and quickly clog the nozzle.

Filling and use

A single actuation delivers approximately 0.14 ml, allowing precise and economical application. This dose applies to watery liquids.

The spray pump is supplied with a dip tube whose length can be found in the product specifications. For shorter bottles, trim it with a sharp knife or scissors so that it ends just above the bottom without bending. A tube that is too long presses against the bottom and draws up poorly; one that is too short leaves part of the contents unused.

Tighten the closure by hand, without tools. The ribbed collar provides sufficient grip and excessive force could damage the bottle thread. Before shipping or travelling, fit the transparent dust cap and transport the bottle upright.

Good to know

Before first filling, rinse the spray pump with clean water, draw a small amount of ethanol or isopropyl alcohol through it, and allow it to dry. Follow the same procedure when reusing the pump. Dried residue in the nozzle is the most common reason a spray pump stops spraying.

A mechanical spray pump is not airless. Each actuation draws air into the bottle, so aqueous contents require effective preservation just as they would in an open bottle.
