Product description
Plastic cleaning spray bottle with black trigger sprayer is a complete set of a one-litre PET bottle and a sprayer with 28/410 thread, ready for immediate filling. It is suitable wherever a larger volume of liquid is applied by even spraying: for all-purpose cleaners, window and glass products, degreasers, bathroom cleaners, fabric fresheners and surface disinfectant solutions. Both the bottle and the sprayer are declared suitable for contact with cosmetics, so the set can also be used for liquid cosmetic preparations, such as hair water or hydrolat in salon practice.
The transparent bottle shows the colour of the contents and the remaining volume, which you will appreciate especially when you have several identical bottles with different solutions. The trigger sprayer is designed for repeated pressing. The longer trigger requires less force than small mechanical sprayers and one press releases a small, repeatable dose.
Key features
- Volume 1 l – nominal volume for standard filling, suitable for diluted concentrates and preparations that are consumed quickly.
- Trigger sprayer – even spray with less effort, one press releases approximately 0.75 ml.
- Dip tube to the bottom – the tube reaches to the bottom of the bottle, so you can empty the contents almost entirely.
- Lightweight, shatterproof material – PET is safe to use in the bathroom, kitchen or workshop, where a glass bottle would pose a risk.
- Content visibility – the transparent wall allows you to monitor the level, turbidity or phase separation in the preparation.
- Suitability for cosmetics – both the bottle and the sprayer are declared suitable for contact with cosmetic products; a declaration of conformity is available with the product.
What is and isn't suitable for the bottle
Works best with water-based and water-alcohol solutions of low viscosity: surfactant-based all-purpose cleaners, vinegar and citric acid solutions for limescale, window products containing alcohol, diluted disinfectant solutions, fabric and room fresheners or hydrolats.
Less suitable for thick gels, cream emulsions and preparations with undissolved particles. The sprayer mechanism will either fail to draw them up or the nozzle will become blocked. Oils and oil serums spray poorly through a trigger sprayer and grease the mechanism; other types of packaging are intended for these.
Do not expose the PET bottle or plastic sprayer to aggressive chemicals. Concentrated acids and alkalis, solvents such as acetone or thinners, and undiluted essential oils in higher proportions are unsuitable. For your own formulation, we recommend filling one bottle on a trial basis and checking the bottle wall, thread seal and sprayer function after a few days.
Nominal and total volume
The nominal volume is the quantity the bottle is designed for during standard filling. The total volume to the brim is larger, because the bottle has a reserve above the nominal level for the neck, the sprayer dip tube and expansion of the contents when the temperature changes. Fill to the nominal volume, not to the brim. If overfilled, some contents will be pushed out through the neck when the sprayer is screwed on and the bottle may not seal properly.
What is good to know
Before first filling, rinse both the bottle and the sprayer with clean water and allow to dry. For cosmetic use, it is advisable to disinfect the surface with ethanol or isopropyl alcohol and allow to evaporate. Before filling, prime the sprayer several times with clean water to verify that it draws and the nozzle is not blocked.
Never fill with hot solutions. PET deforms at higher temperatures and the bottle may lose its shape or seal. Prepare vinegar, soda or concentrate solutions separately and pour them into the bottle only after they have cooled.
The transparent bottle does not protect the contents from light. Store preparations containing essential oils, plant extracts or colorants away from direct sunlight, otherwise the scent and colour change more quickly. Water-based preparations without preservatives should be used up in a short time.
After each use with a more concentrated preparation, flush the sprayer with clean water. Residues of surfactants and salts in the mechanism dry out, the stream weakens and the trigger stiffens. When switching to a different preparation, rinse the bottle and allow it to dry completely so the solutions do not mix.
The set is not intended for food or beverages. Once empty, the PET bottle belongs in sorted plastic waste. The sprayer is composed of several types of plastic, so unscrew it and dispose of it separately.
If you use several identical bottles with different solutions, label each with a moisture-resistant self-adhesive label showing the name of the preparation and the filling date. The transparent bottle will help distinguish coloured preparations, but clear solutions look identical.
Ready-made combinations of the bottle with other closures, and individual closures with a 28/410 neck, can be found in the Handymade range. For your own combination, we recommend verifying the seal and behaviour of the packaging with your specific formulation.
