Is this plastic bottle suitable for repeated use?

Yes, the bottle can be used repeatedly if basic hygiene rules are observed. Before each new filling, we recommend washing the packaging thoroughly, rinsing it and then disinfecting it with a suitable disinfectant, for example isopropyl alcohol or ethanol. For disinfection you can use the products IPA 99 % isopropyl alcohol or Ethanol 96 % denatured plant-based. Only after the packaging is completely dry is it suitable to refill it.

How should I clean this bottle properly before further use?

Before each further use, we recommend first rinsing the bottle with warm water and a gentle cleansing agent, thoroughly removing residues of the original product and then rinsing it several times with clean water. After mechanical cleaning, it is appropriate to disinfect the packaging – for example using isopropyl alcohol or ethanol intended for technical disinfection. For this purpose, you can use the products IPA 99 % isopropyl alcohol or Ethanol 96 % denatured plant-based. After disinfection, let the bottle dry completely at room temperature before refilling.

How can I safely dispose of or recycle this packaging if I no longer want to use it?

If you decide not to reuse the bottle, we recommend recycling it responsibly according to the material type specified in the parameter table by the product on the Handymade website. Before handing it over to sorted waste, it is appropriate to empty the packaging, remove any remaining contents and separate different materials (for example the bottle and the cap, if they are made of different plastics). Then place the packaging in the appropriate container for sorted collection according to local rules so that the material can be efficiently recovered in the recycling process.

Is this type of packaging also suitable for testing new formulations and samples?

Yes, the smaller plastic bottle with flip-top cap is practical also for preparing trial batches and product samples. It allows you to test the behaviour of the formulation in contact with the packaging, the stability of colour and fragrance, as well as convenience during dispensing. When testing new formulations, we always recommend first filling a smaller amount of product and monitoring compatibility with the packaging over several days to weeks in order to verify sealing, consistency and the overall user experience.
