The plastic bottle with flip-top closure represents a practical and reliable packaging solution for various liquid and semi-liquid products for body care, household use or artisan production. The stable plastic material in combination with a flip-top type closure allows convenient dispensing of the contents without the need for completely unscrewing the cap, which reduces the risk of accidental spillage and makes handling easier even during everyday use. Thanks to its properties, this bottle is suitable for a wide range of formulations that require controlled squeezing or pouring of a smaller amount of product.
The standalone plastic bottle is offered on Handymade in combination with a flip-top closure, which ensures convenient opening and precise dosing. The packaging and closure combinations that are created directly on Handymade are tested and functional. However, for all combinations we recommend always carrying out your own compatibility test (sealing, dosing and behaviour of the packaging in contact with the specific formulation), so that you can be sure that the packaging works reliably with your particular product.
All technical parameters of the packaging are specified in the attached Packaging Quality Certificate and in the product parameters.
For plastic packaging made of PET material it is important to follow the principles of proper use. PET material should not be exposed to high temperatures, therefore boiling or filling with hot preparations is not recommended. In case of excessive thermal stress there is a risk of deformation of the packaging, which may affect the sealing and functionality of the closure. At the same time, such packaging is not suitable for washing in a dishwasher; gentle manual cleaning at lower temperatures in combination with appropriate disinfection is recommended.
If you decide not to reuse the packaging after the product has been used up, we recommend its recycling according to the recommendations stated in the parameter table at the product on Handymade. By placing the packaging in the correct separated waste stream, you support efficient processing of the plastic material in accordance with applicable recycling rules.
Yes, the packaging can be used repeatedly if handled correctly and hygienic principles are observed. Before each new filling, the bottle and the closure must be thoroughly cleaned and then disinfected with a suitable agent, for example isopropyl alcohol or plant-based ethanol. On Handymade you will find, for example, the products IPA 99 % isopropyl alcohol and ethanol 96 % denatured plant-based, which are suitable for disinfecting packaging before filling. After disinfection, let the packaging dry thoroughly so that there is no dilution or impact on your formulation.
PET material is not suitable for exposure to high temperatures, therefore washing in a dishwasher or boiling is not recommended. Excessive heating may lead to deformation of the bottle walls or the closure, which can impair the sealing and overall functionality of the packaging. For cleaning, gentle hand washing in lukewarm water with a suitable cleaning agent is recommended, followed by disinfection, for example using isopropyl alcohol or plant-based ethanol, and complete drying before further use.
Before filling, we recommend checking that the bottle is clean, disinfected and completely dry. When pouring in the product, leave a small air reserve in the bottle below the thread in order to avoid overfilling and squeezing out the contents after the closure is fitted. After screwing on the flip-top closure, check that the thread is tightened evenly and that the closure opens and closes smoothly. You can then perform a dosing test – by briefly squeezing the bottle, test whether the product flows out smoothly and without seepage around the neck.
If you decide not to use the packaging further, we recommend, after emptying and basic cleaning, to place it in separated waste according to the type of plastic stated in the parameter table at the product on Handymade. In this table you will find information about the material and the relevant recycling designation, according to which you can place it correctly in the appropriate container (for example, a plastic container for PET packaging). Removing product residues and separating the bottle from the closure can facilitate subsequent processing of the material in the recycling process.
On Handymade you can use the extended filter when choosing packaging, which is located at the top of the page after clicking on the relevant packaging category. In the extended filter you can conveniently select parameters such as neck type, packaging size, colour and material used. Thanks to this, you can quickly find bottles, jars, pots or vials that meet your requirements for design, volume, dosing method or intended use of the product.
