White Plastic Bottle, Transparent Disc Top, 300 ml

The white plastic 300 ml bottle with a clear disc top cap is designed for shower gels, shampoos, conditioners, body lotions and liquid soaps, that is, for products dispensed by squeezing the bottle. The opaque white PET wall limits the amount of light reaching the contents, which you will appreciate with formulas containing vegetable or essential oils that lose their properties faster in light. The bottle is lightweight and, unlike glass, does not break when dropped, so it suits the shower, the bathroom and a travel bag alike.

The disc top cap opens by pressing one side of the disc. The dispensing opening is revealed on the opposite side, the contents are pushed out by squeezing the bottle walls, and pressing the disc again closes the cap. It can be operated with one hand, which comes in handy when washing your hair or body. The clear version of the cap lets you see the colour of the product in the dispensing opening.

Suitable uses

• Shower gels and liquid soaps – higher-viscosity consistencies are dispensed evenly from the disc top without running down the walls.
• Shampoos and conditioners – hair care products can be dispensed with one hand directly in the shower.
• Body lotions and lighter creams – emulsions that can be squeezed out of the bottle are dispensed in small amounts directly into your palm.
• Massage and body oils – with thin oils, we recommend checking that the dispensing opening seals sufficiently once closed and that the oil does not run down the neck.

Filling and volume

The nominal volume of 300 ml is the volume the bottle is designed for with normal filling. The physical volume up to the brim of the neck is larger. The difference provides a reserve for the cap and for the expansion of the contents with temperature changes, and it also allows the product to be squeezed out without spilling when the bottle is opened. For this reason, fill the bottle up to the nominal volume, not to the brim.

Good to know

Both the bottle and the cap are declared as suitable for contact with cosmetic products, and you will find the declaration of conformity with the product. The bottle on its own has a certificate for direct food contact, but the set as a whole is intended for cosmetics.

Before the first filling, wash the bottle and the cap, disinfect them with isopropyl alcohol or ethanol and leave them to dry completely. Rinse the cap with the dispensing opening open so that no water remains in the channel. The same procedure applies to repeated use, and with the disc top we recommend checking that the disc closes smoothly after washing.

PET is not intended for hot filling. Let emulsions and gels cool to room temperature before filling, and do not store the finished product near a heat source, as the bottle wall could become deformed. Do not expose the material to aggressive chemicals. For contents with a higher proportion of alcohol or solvents, or with concentrated essential oils, we recommend verifying compatibility with PET and the PP cap on a single piece before larger-scale filling. Also check the tightness of the filled bottle lying on its side and upside down, as the behaviour of the closure depends on the viscosity of the particular formula.

The bottle neck has the thread given in the parameters, and you will find closures with the same neck type and other ready-made combinations in the Handymade range. When recycling, separate the PET bottle from the PP cap, as both materials belong in sorted plastic waste.
