Aluminium Bottle, Transparent Plastic Cap, 200 ml

This 200 ml aluminium bottle with a clear ribbed cap is designed for body and massage oils, oil serums, cleansing oils and other cosmetic products that should be protected from light. The metal wall does not let light through, so oxidation-sensitive contents stay in the dark wherever the bottle stands. Aluminium is also lightweight and does not break if dropped, which you will appreciate when shipping products to customers and in the bathroom, where glass is not the best choice.

The set consists of a silver bottle with a 24/410 neck finish and a plastic cap with the same thread. The cap is made of polypropylene and has an EPE liner that sits against the neck and prevents the contents from leaking. The ribbing around the circumference makes it easier to open with wet or oily hands. The clear material of the cap visually lightens the silver bottle.

What it is used for

• Oil-based products – body, massage and hair oils, oil serums and cleansing oils, which benefit most from protection against light.
• Anhydrous products – blends without a water phase, where you do not need to consider how the contents behave in contact with metal.
• Custom combinations with a pump or sprayer – the bottle with a 24/410 neck finish can be fitted with another closure from the Handymade range if dispensing from the neck does not suit you.

Nominal and total volume

The nominal volume is the volume the bottle is designed for in normal filling. The total brimful volume is the physical volume up to the neck and can be found in the parameters. The difference between them leaves room for the closure, or for the dip tube of the pump or sprayer, and for the expansion of the contents with changes in temperature. Fill to the nominal volume, not to the brim. An overfilled bottle overflows when closed and the cap then does not seal.

Good to know

Before the first filling, wash the bottle and the cap, disinfect them and let them dry completely. You cannot see inside a metal bottle, so residual moisture is hard to check. After washing, stand it neck down and let it drain.

For aqueous, acidic or alkaline contents, we recommend verifying suitability with a test batch in one bottle. Metal behaves differently from glass with such contents. With oils and anhydrous products this risk does not apply.

The set is declared as suitable for contact with cosmetic products, and the declaration of conformity is available with the product. It is not approved for contact with food. For a custom combination with another closure, we recommend checking the seal, dispensing and behaviour of the packaging with your specific formulation.

The bottle is made of aluminium and is sorted as metal, while the cap belongs with plastics. Separate them before disposal and rinse the bottle.
