Product description

The aluminium bottle with a mini trigger sprayer is a ready-made set for filling liquid cosmetic products that are applied as a spray: toners and hydrosols, hair and body sprays, refreshing waters or alcohol-based solutions. The opaque aluminium protects the contents from light, and the bottle is lightweight and does not break when dropped, so it is also suitable for travel, a handbag or a sports bag. The 200 ml volume is enough for a larger home-size pack of spray as well as for a working bottle in a salon.

A silver bottle and a black sprayer with a smooth collar make a simple, neutral pack that can be labelled with your own brand. The set is declared as suitable for contact with cosmetics.

How to use the set

The sprayer screws onto a 24/410 neck finish, and the dip tube reaches the bottom and draws up the contents with each press. One press releases approximately 0.2 ml of fine mist, so consumption is easy to estimate and the product is applied evenly to skin, hair or textiles.

The mini trigger sprayer is designed for thin, watery contents. For thicker products, such as gel toners or vegetable oils with a higher viscosity, we recommend testing the spray first on a small amount. Thick contents come out of the nozzle as a stream or not at all.

The dip tube is supplied with some extra length. If it extends past the bottom and bends after screwing on, shorten it with a straight cut so that it just touches the bottom. The sprayer will then empty the bottle almost completely.

Nominal and total volume

The nominal volume is the amount the bottle is designed to hold when filled normally. The total brimful volume is the physical volume of the bottle up to the neck, and you will find it in the parameters. The difference between them provides room for the sprayer dip tube and for the contents to expand when the temperature changes. Fill the bottle to the nominal volume, not to the brim, otherwise the contents will be pushed out when the sprayer is screwed on.

What the set is suitable for

  • Facial toners and hydrosols – the watery consistency passes through the nozzle smoothly, and the opaque bottle protects sensitive ingredients from light.
  • Hair sprays – infusions, spray conditioners and water-based solutions containing light oils that are meant to stay thin.
  • Body and refreshing sprays – the larger volume suits products that are used daily and in larger amounts.
  • Alcohol-based solutions – hair and textile fragrances on an alcohol base or disinfectant sprays for tools, where unbreakable packaging is useful.
  • Working bottles in a workshop and salon – water for dampening hair, a solution for cleaning tools or spraying alcohol onto the surface of a soap base.

Good to know

Before the first filling, rinse the bottle, disinfect it with isopropyl alcohol or ethanol and let it dry completely. Rinse the sprayer by placing the dip tube in clean water and spraying several times. Then spray it empty in the same way to clear the water from the dip tube and nozzle.

For water-based, acidic or alkaline formulations and for longer storage, we recommend checking the compatibility of the contents with the bottle. Watch whether the contents change colour, smell or appearance, and whether the metal surface remains unchanged.

The sprayer is made of polypropylene. With higher concentrations of essential oils, terpenes or solvents, we recommend checking after a few days whether the nozzle and dip tube are softening and whether the spray pattern changes.

Metal conducts heat faster than glass or plastic. Do not leave the bottle in direct sunlight or near a heat source, as the contents will heat up quickly.

The packaging is intended for repeated use. When you change the contents, clean the bottle and the sprayer in the same way as before the first filling. If the nozzle becomes blocked with dried product, soaking the head in warm water and spraying repeatedly will help.

Closures with the same neck type and other ready-made combinations of packaging and closure can be found in the Handymade range. If you make your own combination, we recommend checking the tightness, dispensing and behaviour of the packaging with your specific formulation.

For disposal, the aluminium bottle belongs with metals and the sprayer with plastics. Separate both parts and empty them before throwing them away.

Frequently asked questions

Does the aluminium bottle with a sprayer protect the contents from light?
Yes, aluminium is opaque and does not let light through to the contents. For toners, hydrosols or sprays with light-sensitive ingredients, this is an advantage over clear glass or PET. However, light is only one factor: the stability of the contents is also affected by heat and exposure to air, so do not store the bottle in the sun or near a heat source.
Is the aluminium bottle with a mini trigger sprayer suitable for hydrosols and toners?
Yes, the sprayer distributes watery products such as hydrosols and facial toners evenly. With water-based and especially acidic contents, we recommend checking the colour, smell and appearance of the product and the condition of the inner surface of the bottle after a few days. For longer storage, include a preservative in the formulation, as with any water-based product.
Can the aluminium bottle with a sprayer be used for oil?
The mini trigger sprayer is designed for thin contents and may not spray thick oils. Light oils or mixtures of oil and alcohol often come out of the nozzle as a stream instead of a mist. Before filling the whole volume, we recommend testing the spray on a small amount and watching whether the nozzle becomes blocked.
How do I clean the aluminium bottle with a sprayer before reuse?
Rinse the bottle with warm water, disinfect it with ethanol or isopropyl alcohol and let it dry upside down. Rinse the sprayer by spraying clean water through the dip tube and nozzle, then spray it empty to clear the water. Dried product in the nozzle can be loosened by soaking the head in warm water.
Is the aluminium bottle with a sprayer approved for contact with food?
No, the set is declared only for contact with cosmetics. It is suitable for toners, sprays, hydrosols and other cosmetic products, but do not use it for home-made oils, syrups or drinks. The same restriction applies to the bottle and the sprayer separately.
