Product description

A brown glass dropper bottle 10 ml with a black dropper is a ready-to-use complete packaging set for concentrated preparations where just a few drops per application are sufficient. Brown glass limits light transmission and protects light-sensitive contents; the dropper dispenses precisely drop by drop. The set is particularly suited for facial serums, oil elixirs, essential oil blends, eyebrow and lash serums, cuticle oils and tinctures in small volumes.

The 10 ml volume is also practical for samples, travel sizes and test batches of new formulations. The tall, slender type B bottle sits comfortably in the hand and leaves plenty of room for a label. The matte black dropper with a glossy stripe looks uniform against the brown glass.

Key benefits

  • Light protection – brown glass limits light penetration, which benefits vegetable oils, essential oils and active ingredients sensitive to oxidation and UV radiation.
  • Precise dosing – the dropper with a glass tube and silicone bulb draws and releases the contents drop by drop, allowing you to measure out a dose of serum or essential oil blend.
  • Chemically resistant glass – glass does not react with essential oils, vegetable oils or alcohol-based solutions, and the contents do not absorb odours from it.
  • Coordinated appearance – the matte black dropper with a glossy stripe suits darker labels as well as minimalist designs.
  • Declared for cosmetics – both the bottle and the dropper are suitable for contact with cosmetic products; a declaration of conformity is included with the product.

How the set works

The dropper screws onto the bottle neck and seals it. The glass tube reaches deep into the bottle, allowing you to draw out even the last of the contents. Squeezing the bulb draws up the contents, which are then released drop by drop without finger contact with the product. The length of the dropper is matched to this tall 10 ml bottle. With a different bottle height, the tube would either not reach the bottom or would rest against it.

The dropper works best with liquid contents – oils, serums with low to medium viscosity, tinctures and tonics. Thick gels and creams will not pass through the narrow tube.

Other closures with the same neck type (listed in the product parameters) and further ready-made combinations are available in the Handymade range. For your own combinations, we recommend verifying the seal, dosing and performance of the packaging with your specific formulation.

Nominal and total volume

Nominal volume is the volume for which the packaging is designed under standard filling conditions. Total brimful volume is the physical capacity up to the neck and is somewhat larger. The difference provides a margin for the dropper, which occupies some space once screwed on, and for the expansion of the contents with temperature changes. Fill to the nominal volume, not to the brim; otherwise the contents will overflow when closing.

Good to know

  • Preparation before first fill – we recommend washing the bottle and dropper, disinfecting with isopropyl alcohol or ethanol and leaving them to dry completely. For water-based products (serums, tonics), a clean container is a prerequisite for stability.
  • Reuse – glass withstands repeated washing and disinfection. The silicone bulb is resistant to oils; with prolonged contact with a high proportion of essential oils, we recommend checking whether it softens. When changing the contents, it is advisable to replace the dropper.
  • Glass and heat – do not fill the bottle with hot contents and do not expose it to sudden temperature changes; the glass may crack.
  • Recycling – the glass bottle can be recycled as glass. The dropper combines plastic, glass and silicone; we recommend separating the components before disposal.

The food-contact certificate applies to the glass bottle on its own. The complete set is intended for cosmetics; the dropper does not hold such a certificate.

Frequently asked questions

Does the brown glass bottle 10 ml protect the contents from light?
Yes, brown glass significantly limits light penetration, especially UV, and slows down light-induced oxidation. It is therefore suitable for vegetable oils, essential oils and other light-sensitive active ingredients. It does not replace proper storage, however; the packaging should be kept out of direct sunlight.
How much should I fill into the 10 ml bottle with a dropper?
Fill to the nominal volume of 10 ml, not to the brim. The total brimful volume is larger; the margin is needed for the dropper tube, which displaces some contents upwards when screwed on, and for expansion with temperature changes. Filling to the brim will cause overflow when closing.
Is the glass bottle with dropper suitable for essential oils?
Yes, glass does not react with essential oils and the brown colour protects them from light. The dropper has a glass tube, a silicone bulb and a plastic thread. With pure essential oils, it is advisable to monitor how the bulb behaves over extended contact and to replace the dropper after some time.
Can the bottle with dropper be used for a water-based serum or tonic?
Yes, the dropper dispenses water-based and alcohol-based solutions just as well as oils. Water-based products require a clean, disinfected container and suitable preservation, as the dropper re-enters the bottle after each use. Brown glass also protects the active ingredients in the aqueous phase from light.
Is the dropper bottle set approved for food contact?
No, the complete set is intended for cosmetics. The food-contact certificate applies to the glass bottle alone; the black dropper does not hold one. For home oils, syrups or herbal extracts, the bottle needs to be combined with a closure that carries a food-contact certificate.
How do I clean the bottle and dropper before reuse?
Wash the bottle with warm soapy water, rinse, disinfect with ethanol or isopropyl alcohol and leave to dry neck-down. Rinse the dropper repeatedly by drawing up and expelling clean water, then alcohol, and leave to dry. Oil and fragrance residues are harder to remove from silicone, so consider a new dropper when changing the contents.
