The amber glass bottle with a volume of 250 ml and a fitted black plastic pump forms a ready-to-use set for filling liquid to medium-thick cosmetic products. Amber glass reduces the amount of light reaching the contents, which you will appreciate especially with oils, serums and products with sensitive active ingredients. The pump dispenses a measured dose without unscrewing and repeatedly opening the bottle.

The bottle has the flat shape typical of medical bottles and a neck with a PP28S thread. The pump with a ribbed collar has the same thread and fits it without an adapter. The set is supplied as a single item, so you do not have to choose and match the bottle and pump separately.

What the set is suitable for

• Body and massage oils – the pump dispenses a measured dose straight into your palm, without running down the neck.
• Liquid soaps and cleansing gels – a liquid to slightly viscous consistency passes through the pump without problems.
• Face lotions and light emulsions – the 250 ml volume corresponds to a common pack size for everyday use.

How the set works

One press of the pump dispenses approximately 1.8 ml of product. Such a measured dose suits oils and more concentrated products, where the user does not need a large amount at once. The pump is intended for glass pharmaceutical bottles with a PP28S thread, so it fits this bottle without any adapters.

The pump works best with liquid to medium-thick products. Thick creams, butters or products with scrub particles may clog the pump or may not be possible to push out of it. If the formulation contains thickeners, test the dispensing on a single piece before you fill a larger batch.

Good to know

The nominal volume of the bottle is 250 ml. This is the amount the packaging is designed for in normal filling. The brimful capacity given in the parameters is the physical volume up to the neck. The difference between the two values is a reserve for the pump tube and for the expansion of the contents when the temperature changes. For this reason, fill the bottle only up to the nominal volume. If you fill the bottle to the brim, part of the contents will be pushed out when the pump is fitted.

Both the bottle and the pump are declared suitable for contact with cosmetics, and the declaration of conformity is available with the product. Only the glass bottle on its own has a certificate for direct food contact; the pump does not have one. The set as a whole is therefore intended for cosmetic products, and we do not recommend it for homemade oils or syrups.

Before the first filling, wash the bottle, disinfect it with isopropyl alcohol or ethanol and let it dry completely. It is enough to rinse the pump with warm water and let it drain. The glass bottle withstands repeated use, but it must be washed and disinfected again before each new filling.

Glass is sensitive to sudden temperature changes. Never pour a hot phase into a cold bottle; let the contents cool to at least lukewarm. For products with a high proportion of essential oils or alcohol, we recommend observing the behaviour of the plastic parts on a single piece for several weeks.

When disposing of the bottle, unscrew the pump from the bottle and sort them separately: the bottle with glass, the pump with plastic.
