Product description
Glass dropper bottle 15 ml is a ready-to-use set for precise drop-by-drop dispensing: a bottle made of milky frosted glass and a white glossy dropper that fits it. It is suitable for facial and oil serums, oil blends for the face and nail cuticle, active ingredient concentrates, samples and travel-size packaging. The small volume is practical for more expensive active ingredients and for products that are dosed drop by drop and should be used up within a shorter time.
The set is declared as suitable for contact with cosmetic products; the declaration of conformity and certificate can be found on the product page. This set is not intended for contact with food.
Key benefits
- Precise dispensing – the dropper measures out a few drops without spilling, which is important for correct application and economical use of serums and concentrates.
- Glass with no interaction with the contents – the glass bottle does not react with oils, essential oils or alcohol-based solutions, making it suitable even for blends that could eventually degrade certain plastics.
- Frosted finish – the milky surface gives the product a uniform, clean appearance regardless of the colour of the contents, and a label or print stands out clearly on it.
- Hygienic dispensing – the contents are neither poured out nor scooped with fingers; the dropper is returned after use and the bottle remains closed.
- Reusable – both the bottle and the dropper can be cleaned and used again, which is appreciated when testing formulations in small batches.
For which products is the set suitable
The dropper bottle is best suited for products with low to medium viscosity that can be drawn into the glass tube and dispensed drop by drop:
- oil serums and blends of vegetable oils for the face, eye area and décolleté,
- water-based and gel serums with hyaluronic acid, niacinamide or peptides, provided they are not too thick,
- nail cuticle and beard oils,
- active ingredient concentrates intended for adding to creams,
- samples and test batches of new formulations.
The dropper is not suitable for thick creams, balms or high-viscosity gels. The contents will not be drawn up and dispensing will be unreliable.
What is good to know when filling
Nominal volume and total volume are not the same. The nominal volume is the amount for which the bottle is intended under normal filling conditions. The total volume to the brim is the physical capacity up to the neck and is slightly larger. The difference provides a reserve for the glass tube of the dropper, which displaces some of the contents when screwed in, and for the slight expansion of the liquid with temperature change. The bottle should therefore be filled to the nominal volume, not to the brim. Otherwise the contents will overflow through the thread when the dropper is inserted.
Dropper and contents: the bulb is made of silicone, the ring of polypropylene and the tube of glass. The length of the dropper corresponds to the height of the bottle, so the tube reaches almost to the bottom and you can draw up the contents even at a low level. With concentrated essential oils or alcohol-based solutions, verify in the finished formulation that the bulb does not soften over time and that the seal remains intact. With standard serums and oil blends, this is a reliable solution.
Glass tolerates normal temperatures during filling, but a sudden thermal shock (hot contents into cold glass) may damage it. Fill with contents cooled to at least room temperature.
Before first use, wash both the bottle and the dropper, disinfect with isopropyl alcohol or ethanol and allow to dry completely. Residual moisture could compromise anhydrous oil-based products.
Light: frosted glass diffuses light but does not block it as effectively as brown or blue glass. For ingredients sensitive to light (such as retinol, vitamin C, certain vegetable oils), keep the bottle out of direct sunlight or consider a dark outer packaging.
Label: a label adheres well to the frosted surface; dimensions for printing can be found in the product specifications.
Recycling: after cleaning, the glass bottle belongs in the glass waste stream. The dropper is made of multiple materials, so before disposal separate the glass tube from the plastic ring and the bulb.
Closures with the same thread type (specified in the product specifications) and further ready-made combinations can be found in the Handymade range. When combining components yourself, we recommend verifying the seal, dispensing performance and packaging behaviour with the specific formulation.
