Product description

The frosted glass bottle with a 15 ml volume and a plastic pump in a black and gold glossy finish is used to package small volumes of cosmetics that you want to dispense precisely and without your fingers touching the contents. It is suited above all to facial serums, eye serums, facial oils and light emulsions, where small doses are used. Matte glass lets the contents show through slightly, so you can see how much product is left in the bottle. The set is supplied with a pump and a clear overcap, which protects the pump head from dirt and accidental pressing.

What the set is suitable for

  • Serums and concentrates – the 15 ml volume matches a standard pack of facial or eye serum, where only a few doses are used per application.
  • Facial oils and oil serums – the pump dispenses oil without dripping down the walls of the bottle.
  • Light emulsions and fluids – liquid to medium-thick textures pass through the pump smoothly.
  • Samples and travel packs – the small volume and closable top suit samples for customers or a smaller amount decanted from a larger pack.

How the set works

The bottle has a neck with an 18 mm thread, onto which the pump is screwed. The pump dispenses approximately 0.3 ml per press, which is an appropriate amount for a facial serum or oil. The dip tube reaches the bottom of the bottle and draws up the contents even at a lower level. The clear overcap fits over the pump head and prevents the contents from being pushed out accidentally during transport or storage.

When using the bottle for the first time, prime the pump by pressing it several times until the dip tube fills and the dose starts to come out evenly. If the dip tube extends beyond the bottom of the bottle, shorten it with a diagonal cut so that it touches the bottom and draws up the last remnants of the contents.

The pump works without problems with liquid and medium-thick textures. If you are using a thicker emulsion with a higher proportion of thickeners or wax, fill one bottle as a test and check whether the pump dispenses smoothly.

Nominal and total volume

The nominal volume of 15 ml is the volume the bottle is designed to hold when filled normally. The total brimful capacity given in the parameters is the physical volume up to the neck. The difference between them is a reserve for the dip tube and the body of the pump, which take up part of the space once screwed on, and for the expansion of the contents with temperature changes. The bottle should therefore be filled to the nominal volume, not to the brim. If it is overfilled, the contents overflow through the neck when the pump is screwed on.

Good to know

The set is declared suitable for contact with cosmetic products, and the declaration of conformity is available with the product. It is not approved for contact with food, so it is not suitable for homemade oils, syrups or herbal infusions.

Before the first filling, wash and disinfect the bottle and the pump and let them dry completely. You will find the procedure in the questions below.

Glass does not tolerate sudden temperature changes, so do not pour a hot emulsion into the bottle straight after emulsifying, but let it cool first. For contents with a high proportion of essential oils or solvents, we recommend checking in advance how the plastic parts of the pump behave. Glass is resistant to them, but plastic may not be.

The end of the dip tube should always be submerged in the contents. If the bottle stands tilted for a longer time or is almost empty, the pump draws in air and dispenses unevenly on the next press.

The glass bottle belongs in glass recycling. The pump contains plastic and aluminium parts, so unscrew it from the bottle before recycling and hand it in for collection according to the instructions in your region.

Frequently asked questions

Does the frosted glass bottle protect the contents from light?
No, matte glass only scatters light and does not protect the contents from it the way dark glass does. The bottle is translucent and the contents show through it. For serums with vitamin C, retinoids or unstable plant extracts, choose dark glass or store the bottle away from direct light. For ordinary oils, moisturising serums and emulsions that are used up in a short time, matte glass is sufficient.
Can I fill the pump bottle with a thick cream?
It depends on the consistency. The pump is designed for liquid and medium-thick textures, such as serums, oils and light emulsions. A thick cream with a higher proportion of wax or thickeners may not pass through the dip tube, or the pump may dispense only a small amount. We recommend filling a test piece and checking in advance that the cream passes through.
How much product comes out with one press of the pump?
Approximately 0.3 ml. This amount corresponds to one dose of serum or oil for the whole face. For concentrated products, such as eye serums, a half press is enough. When using the bottle for the first time, prime the pump by pressing it several times until the dip tube fills with the contents and the dose settles.
How do I prepare the glass bottle with a pump before the first filling?
Wash, disinfect and let it dry. Rinse the bottle with warm water, then with isopropyl alcohol or ethanol and let it dry completely with the neck facing down. Rinse the pump with clean water and alcohol and let it dry with the dip tube facing down, so that no moisture remains in it. Only then fill the bottle with the formulation up to the nominal volume.
Can a closure other than the pump be fitted on the 15 ml bottle?
Yes, if it has the same neck type. The bottle has a neck with an 18 mm thread, so other closures with the same neck type from our e-shop can also be used on it, for example a dropper or a sprayer. When changing the closure, the same filling rule applies: the bottle is filled to the nominal volume, not to the brim, so that the contents do not overflow when it is closed.
