Product description
A plastic bottle with a capacity of 750 ml and a black pump is a ready-made combination for liquid and creamy products that are dispensed repeatedly and in larger amounts. It is particularly suited for shower gels, shampoos, conditioners, liquid soaps, body lotions and massage oils — products where customers appreciate convenient one-handed dispensing without unscrewing the cap. The transparent bottle shows the contents, colour and remaining volume. The black ribbed pump head is easy to grip with wet hands and gives the packaging a clean, simple look.
This is a set consisting of a round transparent plastic bottle with a 28/410 neck and a plastic pump with the same thread type. Both components are declared as suitable for contact with cosmetic products, so the set as a whole is intended for cosmetics. The bottle itself also carries a certificate for direct food contact, but the pump does not, so the set is not suitable for filling food products.
Key benefits
- Convenient dispensing – one press of the pump delivers approximately 1.8 ml, a dose suitable for shower gel, shampoo or body lotion. With thicker products the dose may vary slightly.
- Hygienic use – the contents do not come into contact with hands or air the way wide-mouth containers do, which is an advantage for products used daily in the bathroom.
- Transparent packaging – the colour, texture and level of the product are visible, so the customer can tell when the bottle is nearly empty.
- Lightweight and shatterproof – the plastic bottle is suitable for the shower and for travel; it will not break or shatter if dropped.
- Ready-matched combination – the bottle and pump threads are compatible with each other, so there is no need to search for or test a matching closure.
Suitable products
The 750 ml volume corresponds to a family or salon size. It works best with rinse-off products — shower gels, shampoos, conditioners and liquid hand and body soaps — where larger amounts are used and the pump makes everyday dispensing easier. It is also suitable for body lotions and lighter creamy emulsions that still flow through the pump tube, as well as for massage and body oils where the pump prevents spills.
The set is not suitable for very thick creams, butters or balms. The pump will not draw them up or will dispense unevenly; such products belong in a jar or pot. It is equally unsuitable for products with solid particles, such as sugar or salt scrubs, which can block the pump mechanism.
Use and filling
The bottle is filled to the nominal volume, not to the brim. The nominal volume is the quantity the packaging is designed for under normal filling conditions; the total volume up to the neck is greater. The difference provides space for the pump tube and mechanism and for expansion of the contents with temperature changes. If the bottle is filled right to the neck, the contents will overflow when the pump is screwed on, or the pump will not seal correctly.
The pump tube is supplied with a length allowance. Before first use, check that it reaches the bottom of the bottle without bending. If it is too long, trim it with a sharp knife using a diagonal cut, which improves suction of the last remaining product.
On first use, press the pump several times without product until the tube and piston fill. With thicker emulsions, it helps to let the product cool to room temperature before filling and to adjust the viscosity so it can still be poured.
Before first use, wash both the bottle and the pump, disinfect with isopropyl alcohol or ethanol, and allow to dry completely. Any moisture remaining in the container will dilute the product and may reduce the effectiveness of the preservative system. For repeated use, repeat the same process and rinse the tube separately, as it retains the most residue.
Good to know
The transparent plastic does not protect the contents from light. Products with light-sensitive ingredients — such as those with a high proportion of unsaturated oils, vitamins or essential oils prone to oxidation — are better stored away from direct sunlight, or a darker container should be chosen. For standard rinse-off products used in the bathroom this is not an issue.
Plastic can react with certain ingredients. For products with a higher content of essential oils, solvents or alcohol, we recommend testing the packaging with the specific formulation — checking for leaks, possible cloudiness or softening of the bottle wall over several weeks. The same testing is worthwhile for thick emulsions to ensure the pump dispenses reliably throughout the product's shelf life.
The set is not intended for food use. The food-contact certificate applies to the bottle alone; the pump does not hold one, so the combination as a whole is used exclusively for cosmetic products.
Label dimensions are available in the product parameters. The packaging is plastic and, once emptied and rinsed, is sorted into plastics recycling; remove the pump from the bottle before disposal. Closures with the same neck type and other ready-matched bottle and closure combinations are available in the Handymade range. For a custom combination, we recommend verifying seal integrity and dispensing performance with the specific formulation.
