Product description
The 500 ml plastic bottle with trigger sprayer is a complete set for spraying thin liquids in larger volumes – where the fine mist of a standard pump sprayer is not enough and you need a more substantial dose per press. The transparent bottle shows the fill level at a glance, is lightweight and will not shatter if dropped, making it suitable for workshops, production facilities and home use. The black trigger sprayer with a 28/410 neck is operated with the whole hand and remains comfortable even during prolonged use. The set is declared suitable for contact with cosmetics. The bottle alone carries a food-contact certificate; the complete set is intended for cosmetic and technical use.
How the set works
- Trigger sprayer 28/410 – draws liquid through a dip tube from the bottom of the bottle and dispenses it as a coarser spray, not a fine mist. Each press delivers approximately 1.3 ml, which is appreciated when treating larger surfaces.
- All-plastic construction – the sprayer is made of PP with no metal parts that come into contact with the contents. With aqueous, soapy and alcoholic solutions there is no risk of corrosion, and it does not need to be disassembled for recycling.
- Transparent round bottle – the simple edge-free shape is easy to grip even with wet hands, and a label adheres easily to the cylindrical surface. You can see the fill level without opening it.
- Nominal volume 500 ml – sufficient capacity for a workshop or home, yet the bottle remains light enough to use with one hand.
Suitable for products such as
The set is intended for thin, aqueous and alcoholic liquids that the sprayer can easily draw up and disperse:
- disinfectant solutions based on ethanol or isopropyl alcohol for sanitising work surfaces, moulds and containers before filling,
- cleaning products of own manufacture – glass cleaning solutions, all-purpose cleaners with surfactants, vinegar-based solutions for limescale,
- hair rinses and conditioning sprays for rinsing, if they have a liquid consistency,
- body and refreshing sprays for larger areas of skin, hydrosol after-sun sprays, foot sprays,
- auxiliary solutions in production – alcohol for removing air bubbles from cold-process soap, water for moistening when working with clay or bath bombs.
Thick emulsions, gels and viscous oils are beyond the trigger sprayer's capability – the dip tube cannot draw them up or the nozzle clogs. With light oils and oil blends, we recommend checking in advance that the sprayer dispenses reliably and that the bottle material tolerates the specific blend over time.
Nominal and total volume
Nominal volume is the quantity the bottle is designed for in normal filling. Total volume to the brim is the physical capacity right up to the neck and is always slightly larger. The difference provides a margin for the sprayer's dip tube, which displaces some liquid upward when screwed on, and for expansion of the contents with temperature changes. The bottle should therefore be filled to the nominal volume, not to the brim. Otherwise, when the sprayer is fitted, the contents overflow through the neck and the bottle may not seal properly. Exact values for both volumes are listed in the specifications.
Good to know
The sprayer's dip tube is longer than the internal height of the bottle to ensure it reliably reaches the bottom. If it bends at the bottom and hinders uptake of the last doses, shorten it with a sharp knife using an angled cut – the angled end will not suction to the bottom.
Preparation before first filling. Rinse the new container with clean water before use. For cosmetic products, sanitise it with isopropyl alcohol or ethanol and allow it to dry completely. Flush the sprayer with several presses of clean water.
Repeated use. Both the bottle and sprayer can be used repeatedly. After emptying, rinse them out and flush the sprayer with clean water to prevent residues of surfactants or salts from drying inside.
Preservation of aqueous contents. The sprayer draws air into the bottle with each press, so the contents are not protected from contamination. Aqueous products – hydrosol sprays, hair tonics, alcohol-free cleaners – must be preserved in the same way as in any other open container.
Material compatibility. The PP sprayer tolerates aqueous solutions, surfactants and standard concentrations of ethanol and isopropyl alcohol well. With undiluted essential oils, acetone and aggressive solvents, we recommend testing compatibility of both the bottle and sprayer with a small quantity first. Plastic packaging may become cloudy or soften on prolonged contact. Do not expose the bottle to hot liquids or heat; the plastic may deform.
Closures. If you wish to use the bottle without the sprayer, closures with the same neck type and other ready-made combinations are available in the Handymade range. With your own combination, we recommend verifying the seal, dispensing and behaviour of the container with your specific formulation.
The transparent bottle provides no protection from light. Light-sensitive contents – products with essential oils, vitamins or plant extracts – should be stored away from direct sunlight or a dark container should be chosen.
Recycling. Once emptied and rinsed, both the bottle and all-plastic sprayer belong in plastic recycling.
