Product description

The set of a white 100 ml bottle and a matte black mini trigger sprayer is intended for cosmetics applied as a fine mist: facial toners, hydrosols, hair and body sprays or facial refreshing mists. The bottle has a 24/410 neck finish and the sprayer is fitted directly onto it, so the set is supplied as a ready-assembled pair, ready to fill. The opaque white wall conceals the contents and reduces their exposure to light, which helps with products containing more sensitive ingredients.

The set has an understated look. The white body is complemented by a matte black sprayer with a smooth collar without ribbing. The plastic is light and unbreakable, so the 100 ml size suits a handbag, travel or use as a sample size for customers.

What the set is suitable for

  • Facial toners and hydrosols – the sprayer disperses low-viscosity aqueous solutions into an even mist, which is applied without the hands touching the skin.
  • Hair sprays and leave-in conditioners – thin solutions for easier detangling or refreshing the hair are applied directly to the lengths.
  • Body and refreshing sprays – light water-based or water-and-alcohol liquids.
  • Alcohol-based products – for example, hand refreshing solutions. We recommend testing the suitability of a specific recipe containing alcohol and essential oils in one bottle first.
  • Auxiliary solutions in production – alcohol for removing bubbles from the surface of soap or a solution for moistening the work surface.

The mini trigger sprayer does not disperse thick serums, gels and pure oils evenly. A pump or dropper is better suited to such contents.

Filling and dispensing

The nominal volume of the bottle is the volume it is designed to hold under normal filling. The total brimful capacity is larger, because it also includes the space up to the neck. This difference forms a reserve for the dip tube and the sprayer head and for the expansion of the contents with changes in temperature. Fill the bottle to the nominal volume, therefore, not to the brim. An overfilled bottle overflows when the sprayer is screwed on, and when the sprayer is pressed, the contents may leak along the thread.

One press of the sprayer releases approximately 0.35 ml of liquid. After filling and screwing on the sprayer, press it several times to prime it until the tube and piston fill with liquid and a continuous mist starts to come out.

The sprayer tube is longer than the bottle. Shorten it with a sharp knife so that it reaches just to the bottom. A tube that is too short leaves part of the contents unused.

Good to know

Before the first filling, wash the packaging, rinse it with isopropyl alcohol or ethanol and leave it to dry completely. Follow the same procedure when reusing it between two fillings. The sprayer is rinsed by fitting it onto a bottle with clean water or alcohol and pressing it several times until the inside is rinsed through.

The bottle is made of PET, the sprayer of PP. Both materials withstand common aqueous and alcohol-based cosmetic solutions. The packaging is not intended for aggressive chemicals. If your formulation contains a high proportion of essential oils, fragrance compositions or solvents, test how the packaging behaves in one bottle before a larger production run. Do not fill hot solutions into the bottle; let them cool to room temperature first.

The set as a whole is declared suitable for contact with cosmetics, and the declaration of conformity is available with the product. Only the bottle has a separate certificate for direct food contact. The sprayer does not have one, so the set is intended for cosmetics, not for food purposes.

You cannot see the fill level through the white wall. The amount of remaining contents is estimated from the weight of the bottle.

Closures with the same 24/410 neck finish and other ready-made combinations can be found in the Handymade range. If you make your own combination, we recommend checking the tightness and behaviour of the packaging with the specific formulation. Once used up, the bottle and the sprayer are separated and each part is sorted as plastic.

Frequently asked questions

Does the white plastic 100 ml bottle protect the contents from light?
Yes, the white opaque wall of the bottle reduces the contents’ exposure to light more than clear plastic does. It does not protect the contents from heat, however, so store the bottle away from direct sunlight and heat sources. For products with very sensitive ingredients, it is advisable to check stability directly in this packaging.
Is the set with a mini trigger sprayer suitable for toners and hydrosols?
Yes, low-viscosity aqueous solutions are the most suitable type of contents for a mini trigger sprayer. It disperses toners, hydrosols and light hair sprays into a fine mist, which is applied without touching the skin with your hands. Preserving such aqueous products remains essential even in a closed bottle.
Can the bottle with the sprayer be filled with oil?
The mini trigger sprayer does not disperse pure oil into a mist; it comes out more as a stream of droplets. Pumps or droppers are more suitable for oils and thicker serums. It is advisable to test thin oil blends in one bottle first and to check whether the sprayer gives an even dose.
Is the plastic bottle with a sprayer suitable for food?
No, the set as a whole is not approved for contact with food. Only the white PET bottle has a separate certificate for direct food contact; the sprayer does not have one. The whole set is therefore intended for cosmetic products for which its suitability is declared.
How much liquid should go into the 100 ml bottle?
Fill the bottle to the nominal volume of 100 ml, not to the brim. The space above this level is a reserve for the dip tube and the sprayer head and for the expansion of the contents with changes in temperature. An overfilled bottle overflows when the sprayer is screwed on, and when the sprayer is pressed, the contents may seep out near the thread.
Can the bottle with the sprayer be reused?
Yes, with normal use the set can be filled several times. Before a new filling, wash the bottle, rinse it with alcohol and leave it to dry; rinse the sprayer by pressing it on a bottle with clean water or alcohol. When you change the recipe, it is advisable to check that the plastic does not react with the new contents.
