FAQ – Frequently asked questions

Can this bottle be used repeatedly?

The packaging can be used repeatedly if hygiene principles are followed, but thorough cleaning between individual uses is recommended. Before refilling, the bottle and the dispenser must be carefully rinsed, mechanically cleaned and then disinfected with a suitable preparation, for example IPA 99 % isopropyl alcohol or ethanol 96 % denatured plant-based. This reduces the risk of microbial contamination and prolongs the safe usability of the contents.

How should the bottle with dispenser be properly cleaned and disinfected before refilling?

First, we recommend dismantling the bottle and pump into individual parts, removing any residues of the original product and rinsing them with warm water and a mild cleaning agent. Then rinse all parts thoroughly with clean water and allow them to dry. Before refilling, it is advisable to rinse or spray the internal surfaces with an alcohol-based disinfectant solution, for example the products IPA 99 % isopropyl alcohol or ethanol 96 % denatured plant-based, and allow them to fully air out and dry before filling with a new product.

How can this packaging be safely disposed of and recycled if I do not want to use it repeatedly?

If you decide not to reuse the packaging, we recommend emptying it as much as possible and removing any product residues where possible. The method of recycling depends on the specific type of plastic material given in the product parameters on the website – according to this, classify the packaging into the appropriate separated waste stream (for example a container for plastic). Before putting it into separated collection, it is advisable to compress the bottle, separate the closure if it is made of a different material, and follow local recycling rules. Is the bottle suitable for thicker creams or only for light liquids?

This type of dosing bottle is primarily intended for liquid and semi-liquid preparations such as emulsions, lotions, gels and lighter creams. For very thick formulations, pumping through the dispenser may be limited or uneven, therefore we recommend testing the dosing on a small sample of the product before final use. If the product does not pass through smoothly, consider adjusting the viscosity of the formulation or choosing another type of packaging suitable for very thick creams.
