Rounded Clear Plastic Bottle, Transparent Plastic Cap, 100 ml

The clear 100 ml PET bottle with a screw cap is designed for liquid cosmetic products where the contents should be visible: facial lotions, hydrosols, toners, cleansing and body oils, or liquid soaps and shower gels in a smaller size. The clear plastic shows the colour and purity of the filling. PET is light and shatter-resistant, so the bottle suits travel packaging, customer samples or smaller batches when testing a formulation. The set comes complete with a cap with a 24/410 neck finish, so nothing else needs to be bought separately.

The bottle and cap are declared suitable for contact with cosmetic products.

What the set is suitable for

The cap without a dispensing opening is intended for contents that are poured out of the bottle or into the palm. It works well with liquids of low to medium viscosity. Thick creams have difficulty getting out of the neck, so a jar or a bottle with a pump is more suitable for them.

• Facial lotions, toners and hydrosols – water-based products applied onto a cotton pad or into the palm.
• Cleansing, massage and body oils – oil-based products in a quantity that can be used up in time.
• Liquid soaps and shower gels – a smaller size for travel or an addition to a larger pack.
• Samples and test batches – when developing a formulation, you can see whether the contents separate or turn cloudy.

Cap and seal

The cap is made of polypropylene and has a liner made of foam polyethylene (EPE), which sits on the bottle neck once the cap is tightened. The ribbed surface around the circumference makes it easier to open with wet or greasy hands, which is useful for bathroom products. The clear cap does not change the look of the bottle, so the whole pack looks uniform and lets the colour of the filling stand out.

Volume and filling

The nominal volume is the volume the bottle is designed for in normal filling. The brimful volume given in the parameters is the physical volume up to the neck. The difference between them provides a reserve for the closure and for the expansion of the contents when the temperature changes. The bottle should therefore be filled up to the nominal volume. If you fill it right up to the neck, the contents are pushed onto the thread when the cap is tightened, and the seal then does not hold as it should.

Good to know

Before the first filling, we recommend washing and disinfecting the bottle and cap and letting them dry completely. The packaging can be used repeatedly if it is cleaned thoroughly and the liner in the cap is not damaged.

Clear plastic does not protect the contents from light. For formulations with light-sensitive ingredients, an amber or blue bottle is more suitable, or storage in the dark.

The set does not have a food-contact certificate and is intended for cosmetic products.

The PET bottle belongs in plastic recycling. The polypropylene cap is unscrewed before disposal and sorted separately.
