A ready-made set of a clear 100 ml PET bottle and a white cap with a reducer, which dispenses liquid and semi-liquid cosmetic preparations drop by drop or in a thin stream. The bottle and cap share the same neck type, so the set seals and dispenses without searching for a suitable closure. It is especially suitable for tonics, hydrolats, body and hair oils, serums, micellar waters, makeup removers and liquid soaps in quantities for home use or as a smaller retail pack.

The clear wall shows the colour and clarity of the contents. You will appreciate this for products where appearance is part of the result: coloured tonics, oils with natural colouring or two-phase makeup removers that are shaken before use. PET is lightweight and shatterproof, so the bottle works well for travelling, in the bathroom and for sending to customers.

How the set works

• Reducer in the cap – the inner reducer narrows the neck opening, so the contents pour out drop by drop or in a thin stream, not all at once. Suitable for oils, serums and tonics when you want to dispense small amounts and prevent spills.
• Smooth cap – no ridges, easy to wipe clean, and the white colour creates contrast with clear contents.
• Seal – the reducer also seals the neck; once the cap is tightened, the contents do not leak during normal handling. Before transport, we recommend testing the seal with the specific formulation, especially with very thin liquids.

Suitable for products such as

• Facial tonics and hydrolats – the reducer dispenses precisely onto a cotton pad or into the palm.
• Body, hair and massage oils – the thin stream prevents over-dispensing and greasy marks on the packaging.
• Serums and light fluids – water-based and oil-based serums with lower viscosity that flow through the narrowed opening.
• Micellar waters and makeup removers – including two-phase; the clear wall shows phase separation.
• Liquid soaps and shower gels in travel size – for thicker gel textures, expect slower pouring through the reducer.

Thick creams, butters and pastes are not suitable for this set. They cannot be squeezed through the reducer and the bottle cannot be squeezed like a tube.

Nominal and total volume

Nominal volume is the volume the bottle is designed for during normal filling. Total volume to the brim is the physical capacity up to the neck and is slightly larger. The difference provides a margin for the reducer and cap and for expansion of the contents with temperature changes. The bottle should be filled to the nominal volume, not to the brim. Overfilling causes the excess to be pushed through the neck when the reducer is fitted, and the contents may leak during normal handling. Exact values for both volumes are listed in the product specifications.

Good to know

Light. Clear PET does not protect the contents from light. Preparations sensitive to light, such as oils prone to yellowing, serums with vitamin C or products with essential oils, should be stored in a dark cabinet or choose a dark bottle from the Handymade range.

Preparation before first filling. Wash the bottle, cap and reducer, disinfect with isopropyl alcohol or ethanol and allow to dry completely. Residual water could affect anhydrous products and also the preservation stability of aqueous products.

Contact with cosmetics. The bottle and cap are declared as suitable for use with cosmetic products; the declaration of conformity is available with the product. The set is not approved for contact with foodstuffs.

Labelling. The straight cylindrical wall of the bottle labels well. A small label with the name or batch number fits on the smooth cap.

Recycling. The PET bottle and PP cap can be recycled as plastic after emptying. For correct sorting, separate the cap with reducer from the bottle.
