Can this plastic bottle with spray pump be used repeatedly?

Yes, the packaging can be reused if hygiene principles are observed. Before each refilling, the bottle and the spray pump must be thoroughly cleaned and disinfected, ideally using suitable alcohol-based solutions, for example IPA 99 % isopropyl alcohol or ethanol 96 % denatured plant-based. Disinfection helps to minimise the risk of microbial contamination and prolongs the usability of your formulations.

How should the bottle with spray pump be properly cleaned and maintained?

After emptying the packaging, we recommend rinsing the bottle with lukewarm water and a mild cleaning agent, rinsing thoroughly and allowing it to dry completely. It is then advisable to disinfect the internal surfaces and the spray mechanism with an alcohol solution (e.g. IPA or ethanol) and let it dry again. If you decide not to reuse the packaging, we recommend, after emptying and basic rinsing, handing it over to sorted waste collection according to the recommendations stated in the product parameters for this packaging on the Handymade website. When recycling, pay attention to the type of plastic indicated in the parameter table and choose the appropriate container according to local waste sorting rules. Before discarding, it is advisable to separate the bottle and the spray pump to facilitate proper processing of the individual parts.

With thicker emulsions or gels, spraying may be limited or uneven.
