Product description
Clear plastic jar with black lid is a universal container suitable for packing various loose, semi-solid and creamy products. Thanks to the practical combination of a transparent body and a contrasting lid, it allows good visual control of the contents, which you will appreciate in both home and professional production of cosmetics or complementary ranges. The volume and shape of the jar are designed so that the container is comfortable to handle during manual filling as well as during subsequent use by the end customer.
Possible uses
- packing creams, balms, butters, ointments and other cosmetic preparations with a thicker consistency
- placing scrubs, masks, gels, pasty and loose blends into a clear jar
- practical container for travel sizes of cosmetics or product samples for clients
- storage of small accessories, raw materials and blends used in cosmetic production or DIY projects
- organization of small components (glitters, pigments, beads, decorative materials) in a workshop or studio
Packaging advantages
- Material stability – the high-quality plastic jar is firm, resistant to normal handling and suitable for repeated opening and closing.
- Protection of contents – the tightly fitting lid helps protect the filling from dust, impurities and excessive evaporation of volatile components.
- Clear design – the transparent walls allow easy checking of the product’s colour, texture and quantity without opening the jar.
- Universal use – suitable for a very wide range of formulations, from dense butters to finer gel formulations and dry blends.
- Aesthetic appearance – the combination of a clear container and a dark lid creates a professional, timeless impression suitable also for retail products.
Combining with closures and dispensers
- the jar is supplied as a ready-made combination of container and lid prepared for immediate use
- Combinations of containers and closures that are created directly on Handymade are tested and functional. However, for all combinations we always recommend carrying out your own compatibility test (sealing, dosing and behaviour of the container in contact with the specific formulation).
- when designing your product, we recommend testing the filling method, closing and the behaviour of the packaging during longer-term storage
Technical parameters
- All technical parameters of the container are stated in the attached Packaging Quality Certificate and in the product parameters.
- before the final introduction of the container into production, we recommend studying the technical documentation and carrying out internal stability tests
FAQ – Most frequently asked questions
The jar can be used repeatedly, provided you follow basic hygiene principles and its surface is not mechanically damaged. Before each new filling, the container must be thoroughly washed, rinsed and then disinfected with a suitable agent, for example IPA 99% isopropyl alcohol or Ethanol 96% denatured vegetable. Disinfection helps minimise microbiological risks and prolongs the stability of your formulations.
First mechanically clean the jar from residues of the previous product, then wash it with lukewarm water and a suitable detergent and rinse thoroughly. After it has completely dried, disinfect the inner surface using alcohol, for example isopropyl alcohol or ethanol, and allow it to evaporate. When cleaning, avoid aggressive chemicals and abrasive sponges so as not to damage the walls or the lid.
The plastic material of the jar is not intended to be exposed to high temperatures or long-term thermal stress. In contact with very hot media or when washing in a dishwasher, deformation of the container, a change in shape or deterioration of the lid’s tightness may occur. Therefore, do not boil the jar, do not expose it to direct heating and clean it only with gentle agents at lower water temperatures.
If you decide not to use the jar any further, we recommend first emptying it, cleaning it from product residues and then recycling it according to the type of plastic indicated in the product parameters under the material designation. According to this marking, you will place the container in the appropriate collection bin for sorted waste. For personal projects, you can alternatively use the jar for organising small items at home, but from a sustainability point of view, it is always advisable to think about its proper recycling.
To select a suitable container, you can use the advanced filter located at the top of the pages after clicking on a specific container category. In the clear panel, you can filter by several parameters, such as type and neck diameter, overall size of the container, colour and material used. Thanks to this, you will quickly find jars, bottles, pill bottles or pots that meet the technical and design requirements of your formulation.
When filling, we recommend working with the product at a temperature that is safe for the plastic used, in order to avoid damaging it. Do not overfill the jar to the very top so that the lid fits correctly and the thread does not become contaminated. When storing, protect the container from direct sunlight, extreme temperatures and significant fluctuations in humidity, which can affect both the stability of the formulation itself and the service life of the packaging.
