Product description

Glass bottle, vial, white with silver glossy dropper 100 ml

A ready-made combination of a white glass vial and a glass dropper with a silver glossy collar, ready for filling and dispensing liquid cosmetic products drop by drop. Opaque white glass limits light exposure to the contents, which you will appreciate with facial oils, serums with sensitive active ingredients and tinctures that lose their effectiveness or change colour more quickly in light. The dropper dispenses precisely and without finger contact with the contents, making it suitable for concentrated preparations where every drop matters.

The set is intended for cosmetic products and both its parts are declared as suitable for contact with cosmetics. This packaging is not intended for food. The 100 ml volume is practical for facial and body oils, oil serums, massage blends, hair oils and alcohol extracts, from which the customer uses a few drops per day and the packaging lasts them weeks to months.

Why choose this set

  • Light protection – white glass limits light exposure to the contents, which is an advantage for oils prone to oxidation and for formulations with vitamins, retinoids or plant extracts.
  • Precise dispensing – the glass dropper with silicone bulb draws up and releases a small amount of contents, which simplifies the application of serums and oils to the skin as well as measuring when mixing blends.
  • Hygienic application – the contents do not come into contact with fingers or the area around the neck, which reduces the risk of contamination.
  • Glass with no interaction with the contents – the bottle and the dropper tube are made of glass, which does not react with oils, essential oils or alcohol and does not absorb scent.
  • Clean appearance – the combination of white glass and a glossy silver collar looks uniform and suits brands with a light or minimalist design.

How the set works

The bottle has an 18/410 thread and the dropper is precisely fitted to it. The collar with the thread is tightened by hand and closes the packaging. The length of the glass tube corresponds to the height of the bottle so that it reaches almost to the bottom, meaning the remaining contents can also be drawn up without tilting.

Dispensing is simple. Squeezing the bulb expels air, submerging the tube and releasing draws up the liquid, and gentle squeezing releases individual drops. Drop size depends on the viscosity of the contents. Thin oils and alcohol solutions dispense small drops, while thicker oils and glycerine blends form larger and slower drops.

Before first filling, wash the bottle and dropper, rinse with isopropyl alcohol or ethanol and leave to dry completely. Residual water in an oil-based product can cause cloudiness or promote the growth of microorganisms.

Nominal and total volume

The nominal volume is the volume for which the packaging is intended for normal filling. The total brim volume is the physical volume of the bottle up to the neck and is higher. The difference between them is the headspace for the dropper, which when screwed in pushes part of the contents upwards, and for the expansion of the liquid when the temperature changes. The bottle should therefore be filled to the nominal volume, not to the brim. If filled to the brim, the contents would overflow through the neck when the dropper is fitted and contaminate the thread, which impairs the seal. The exact values of both volumes are given in the product specifications.

Suitable for products such as

  • Facial oils and oil serums – light accelerates the oxidation of unsaturated oils, while the dropper dispenses precisely a few drops per application.
  • Serums with active ingredients – water-based and oil-based serums with vitamin C, retinol, bakuchiol or plant extracts that are sensitive to light.
  • Essential oil blends and fragrance oils for diffusers – precise measurement of drops is a necessity in aromatherapy.
  • Hair and beard oils – application directly to the scalp or into the palm drop by drop.
  • Tinctures and alcohol extracts for cosmetic use, for example herbal extracts for toner.
  • Nail and cuticle oils in larger packaging intended for refilling smaller containers.

For thick creams, gels with high viscosity or preparations with solid particles, the dropper is not suitable. The tube becomes blocked and the bulb cannot draw up sufficient contents.

What is good to know

The silicone bulb is durable, but with products with a high proportion of essential oils or containing solvents it may soften or change colour over time. With such formulations we recommend verifying the behaviour of the dropper in a test batch, for example over several weeks at room temperature. During storage, the bottle contents only come into contact with glass and the closure, not the bulb, so the effect on the product itself is minimal.

The glossy silver collar should be cleaned gently. Warm water, mild detergent and alcohol are sufficient; aggressive cleaning products can damage the glossy surface.

The set is suitable for reuse. The bottle can be washed and disinfected, the dropper disassembled, the tube and bulb rinsed and left to dry. When changing the contents, for example from essential oils to a facial serum, we recommend replacing the dropper, as silicone can retain the scent.

For labelling, account for the cylindrical wall of the bottle without a significant taper. Dark and coloured labels stand out well on white glass; a white label will blend in with the bottle.

Glass cannot withstand sudden temperature changes. Never fill the bottle with hot contents and do not put a cold bottle into hot water. When manufacturing, first let the product cool down to approximately room temperature.

The bottle belongs in glass recycling. The dropper is composed of several materials, so separate it from the bottle before disposal.

Closures with the same neck type and further ready-made packaging and closure combinations are available in the Handymade range. If you want to combine the bottle with a different closure, we recommend verifying the seal, dispensing and behaviour of the packaging with the specific formulation.

Frequently asked questions

Does the white glass vial protect the contents from light?
Yes, white glass is opaque and significantly limits light exposure to the contents. For facial oils, serums with vitamins and plant extracts this is an advantage, as light accelerates oxidation and the breakdown of sensitive ingredients. Unlike brown or blue glass the contents are not visible, which should be considered for products where the customer monitors the amount of remaining contents.
Is the set with a glass dropper suitable for essential oils?
Yes, the bottle and the dropper tube are made of glass, which does not react with essential oils. With pure essential oils or their concentrated blends, monitor the silicone bulb, which may soften with long-term exposure to vapours. The contents do not come into contact with the bulb during storage, but we recommend verifying behaviour in a test batch.
How much can be filled into the 100 ml dropper bottle?
The bottle is filled to the nominal volume, not to the brim. The headspace above the nominal volume is intended for the dropper, which when screwed in pushes part of the contents upwards, and for the expansion of the liquid with temperature changes. If overfilled, the contents will overflow through the neck and contaminate the thread, which impairs the seal of the closure. Exact values can be found in the specifications.
Can the glass vial with dropper be used repeatedly?
Yes, both parts are intended for repeated use. Wash the bottle with warm water and detergent, rinse with alcohol and leave to dry. Disassemble the dropper, rinse the tube and bulb and dry. When significantly changing the contents it is advisable to replace the dropper, as silicone can retain the scent of the previous product.
Is the white glass vial with dropper suitable for water-based serums as well as oils?
Yes, the set is suitable for oil-based, water-based and alcohol-based contents with low to medium viscosity. Glass does not react with the contents and the closure prevents leakage. With water-based serums do not forget about preservation. The dropper does limit contact with fingers, but the product comes into contact with air each time it is opened. The dropper is not suitable for thick gels and creams.
