White Plastic Bottle, Black Flip Top, 100 ml

A white PET bottle with a volume of 100 ml and a black flip top cap is a ready-made set for cosmetic products that are dispensed straight from the bottle. The cap opens with one finger and stays closed once it snaps shut, so the set suits products used in the bathroom or when travelling: shower gels, shampoos, body lotions, cleansing oils, toners and liquid soaps. The opaque white wall reduces the amount of light reaching the contents, which you will appreciate with vegetable oils and light-sensitive extracts. The black cap stands out well against the white bottle, and the whole set is lightweight.

How the set works

The flip top cap has a dispensing opening in the top with a hinged lid. The contents are dispensed by tilting the bottle or by squeezing it slightly. Once the lid is snapped shut, the opening stays closed. Liquids and lighter emulsions are dispensed best this way. Thick creams, balms or masks pass through a small opening with difficulty, and a jar or a container with a wider neck is more suitable for them.

Both the bottle and the cap have a 24/410 neck finish. You can find closures with the same neck type and other ready-made combinations in the Handymade range. If you combine a bottle and a closure yourself, we recommend checking the tightness, the dispensing and how the packaging behaves with your specific formulation.

Suitable for products such as

• Shower gels and liquid soaps – the opening in the cap dispenses a smaller amount, and the lid can be operated even with a wet hand.
• Shampoos and conditioners – a 100 ml size works as a travel or trial pack.
• Body and face lotions – lighter emulsions pass through the opening smoothly.
• Cleansing and massage oils – the opaque wall limits exposure to light, which does oils no good.
• Toners and hydrosols without a sprayer – for applying to a cotton pad or into the palm.
• Samples and travel sets – lightweight plastic packaging with a firmly closing cap.

Good to know

The 100 ml volume is the nominal volume, that is, the volume the bottle is intended for in normal filling. The brimful volume, up to the neck, is larger. The difference provides a reserve for the cap and for the expansion of the contents when the temperature changes. The bottle is filled to the nominal volume, not to the brim, otherwise the contents leak out when closing and the cap does not fit properly.

PET is filled only after the contents have cooled to room temperature; hot emulsions and gels do not belong in it. For formulations with a higher proportion of essential oils, alcohol or solvents, we recommend checking how the bottle behaves on a small sample. Plastic walls may absorb such ingredients over time, or their appearance may change.

The set as a whole is intended for cosmetic products. Only the white bottle on its own has a certificate for direct food contact; the black flip top cap does not have one. For that reason, this set is not used for homemade oils, syrups or other foods.

The set is suitable for repeated use. Once empty, the bottle and the cap are washed in warm water with washing-up liquid, disinfected and left to dry. The dispensing opening of the cap is rinsed separately. When you stop using them for good, the PET bottle and the PP cap belong in separately collected plastic waste.
