Aluminium Bottle, White Spray with Matte Silver Collar, 100 ml

This 100 ml aluminium bottle with a mini trigger sprayer is intended for facial toners, hydrosols, refreshing mists and other thin preparations applied by spraying. Aluminium does not let light through, so the contents are protected whether the bottle stands on a windowsill or on a bathroom shelf. The bottle is light and unbreakable, so it can cope with travel in a handbag as well as everyday use at the sink. The white sprayer with a matte silver collar matches the silver bottle, so the set looks uniform.

What the set is suitable for

• Facial toners and hydrosols – water-based solutions without thickeners are sprayed evenly and the fine mist spreads well over the face and the décolleté.
• Refreshing and body mists – thin water-based formulations with dissolved active ingredients, solubilised fragrance or a low percentage of glycerine.
• Hair mists – light water-based or water-alcohol preparations for detangling and refreshing the hair.

Thick oils, emulsions and serums containing a thickener are not suitable for the mini trigger sprayer. The sprayer releases them in drops instead of a mist, or it becomes blocked after a while. A bottle with a pump or a dropper is better suited to such products.

How to use the set

The sprayer screws onto the bottle neck with a 24/410 thread and releases a small dose of the contents as a mist with a single press. The exact volume of one dose is given in the parameters; with an ordinary toner, one bottle yields several hundred presses. The sprayer tube is supplied longer than the height of the bottle so that it can be adapted to different packaging with the same neck.

Nominal and brimful volume

The nominal volume is the amount the bottle is designed for in normal filling. The brimful volume is the physical volume up to the neck and you will find it in the parameters. The difference between them is a reserve for the tube and the body of the sprayer and for the expansion of the contents when the temperature changes. Fill to the nominal volume, not to the brim. An overfilled bottle will overflow when the sprayer is screwed on.

Good to know

• Preparation before first filling – wash the bottle, disinfect it with isopropyl alcohol or ethanol and let it dry completely. Pump the sprayer several times with clean water or alcohol and let it drain.
• Compatibility with the contents – information about the inner surface treatment of the bottle is not available. For water-based, acidic and alcohol-based formulations, we therefore recommend filling a test bottle and checking the fragrance, colour and condition of the interior after several weeks.
• Reuse – the aluminium bottle can be refilled repeatedly; simply wash and disinfect it between fills. After each emptying, pump clean water through the sprayer so that residues of the contents do not dry in the mechanism.
• Changing the closure – other closures with a 24/410 thread from the Handymade range also fit the bottle. If you make your own combination, check the tightness and dispensing with the specific formulation.
• Food contact – the set is intended for cosmetics; neither the bottle nor the sprayer has a certificate for contact with food.
• Recycling – the aluminium bottle is easily recyclable metal packaging. The sprayer combines plastic and an aluminium collar, so unscrew it from the bottle before disposal.
