Product description

Ready-to-use bottle and pump dispenser set for liquid and medium-viscosity cosmetic formulations: a clear PET bottle with a nominal volume of 200 ml and a black pump dispenser with the same thread type, so they fit together precisely. Suitable for liquid soaps, shower gels, shampoos, body and face lotions, or cleansing and massage oils dispensed by pressing. No need to search for a cap with the right neck or test whether it fits and seals.

The black pump dispenser and clear bottle create a neutral combination that is easy to design a label for. The bottle of European manufacture is lightweight, which you will appreciate in the bathroom, when travelling, and when shipping finished products.

Why choose a bottle with a pump dispenser

  • Hygienic dispensing – the contents are not removed with fingers or poured, no impurities enter the bottle during use, and the product is less degraded by air and moisture from hands.
  • Measured dose – each press delivers approximately 1 ml, customers do not waste the formulation and the manufacturer can estimate how many uses the package will last.
  • Lightweight and durable packaging – the PET bottle will not crack if dropped, weighs little and withstands normal household handling and transport.
  • Visible contents – the transparent material shows the colour and clarity of the product as well as the remaining amount.
  • Proven combination – the bottle and dispenser share the same neck type, no need to check the thread or seal.

What products is the set suitable for

The pump dispenser with a dip tube works best with liquid to medium-viscosity formulations: liquid soap, shower gel, shampoo, conditioner with a lighter texture, body and face lotion, light emulsions, cleansing or massage oil, tonics and micellar waters. The 200 ml volume is practical for everyday-use products kept at the sink or in the shower.

Less suitable are very thick creams, body butters and solid gels, which the dispenser draws up poorly or dispenses unevenly. Formulations with particles (scrubs, products with flakes) that may clog the mechanism are also unsuitable. With thicker emulsions it is worth verifying that the product dispenses smoothly, or slightly reducing the viscosity of the formulation.

For oil-based formulations, products with a higher proportion of essential oils or containing solvents, we recommend a compatibility test. Fill one unit, leave it at room temperature for several weeks and then check the bottle wall, the seal and the operation of the dispenser.

Nominal and total volume

Nominal volume is the quantity the bottle is designed for during normal filling. It is used to select the packaging and to declare the contents of the package. Total brim-full volume is the physical volume up to the neck and is slightly larger. The difference provides a reserve for the pump dispenser, which after screwing on occupies part of the space in the neck, and for the expansion of the contents with temperature changes. The bottle should therefore be filled to the nominal volume, not to the brim. Overfilling may cause the product to overflow when fitting the pump dispenser. Both values are listed in the product parameters.

Preparation, filling and repeated use

  • Before the first filling wash the bottle, disinfect it with isopropyl alcohol or ethanol and allow to dry completely. Flush the pump dispenser with several presses in clean water or alcohol and allow the dip tube to dry as well.
  • The pump dip tube should reach just above the bottom of the bottle. If after fitting it rests on the bottom and bends, shorten it with an angled cut. The angled end will not suction to the bottom and the product will be pumped out almost entirely.
  • Filling: fill to the nominal volume, screw on the pump dispenser and prime the dip tube with the first presses. If the dispenser is in the locked position, unlock it by rotating the head before use.
  • Temperature: PET is not designed for hot filling. Allow emulsions, soaps and gels to cool to room temperature before filling, otherwise the bottle may deform.
  • Repeated use is possible if the packaging can be thoroughly cleaned. When changing the formulation, always flush the pump dispenser, otherwise residues of the previous product in the dip tube and mechanism will mix with the new contents.
  • Preservation: the pump dispenser limits contact of the contents with hands and air, but does not replace a preservation system. Aqueous formulations must be preserved regardless of the packaging.

The clear bottle does not protect the contents from light. Formulations with sensitive ingredients – unsaturated oils, vitamin C or light-sensitive extracts – should be stored away from direct sunlight, or a dark or opaque container should be chosen for them.

What is worth knowing

Both the bottle and the pump dispenser are declared as suitable for contact with cosmetic products; the declaration of conformity and supporting documents are available on the product page. Only the pump dispenser individually holds a certificate for direct food contact. The set as a whole is intended for cosmetics and is not offered for food use.

A label can be applied to the bottle wall; degrease the wall with alcohol before applying. When recycling, separate the PET bottle from the PP pump dispenser, empty the bottle and rinse it.

If you want to use the same bottle with a different head, caps with the same neck type and other ready-made combinations can be found in the Handymade range. For a custom combination, we recommend verifying the seal, dispensing performance and packaging behaviour with the specific formulation.

Frequently asked questions

Is the 200 ml plastic bottle with pump dispenser suitable for liquid soap and shampoo?
Yes, liquid soap, shampoo and shower gel are among the most suitable contents for this pump dispenser bottle. They are liquid to medium-viscosity products that the dip tube draws up well and the dispenser delivers in even doses. With thicker shampoos or conditioners, we recommend testing the smoothness of dispensing and, if needed, slightly diluting the formulation.
Can thick cream or body butter be filled into the pump dispenser bottle?
No, thick creams and body butters are not suitable for a pump dispenser with a dip tube. The mechanism cannot reliably draw them up and dispenses unevenly or not at all. For such textures, a jar or pot is more appropriate. Lotions, light emulsions, gels, oils and liquid soaps are the right contents for a pump dispenser bottle.
Does the clear PET bottle protect the contents from light?
No, the clear bottle does not protect the contents from light. It is suitable for formulations that are not harmed by light or that are stored in a cabinet or away from direct sunlight. For oils with a high proportion of unsaturated fatty acids, vitamin C and light-sensitive extracts, it is better to choose amber or blue glass or an opaque plastic.
Is the 200 ml bottle and pump dispenser set approved for food contact?
No, the set as a whole is not declared for food contact. Only the black pump dispenser individually holds a certificate for direct food contact; the clear bottle is declared suitable for cosmetics. The set is therefore intended for cosmetic formulations – lotions, gels, soaps, oils – and is not recommended for food use.
How to clean the pump dispenser bottle before reuse?
Wash the bottle with warm water and detergent, rinse, disinfect with alcohol and allow to dry. Flush the pump dispenser with several presses in clean water and then in alcohol to clean the dip tube and valve as well. Fill only after complete drying. Residual water would dilute the new product and increase the risk of microbial contamination.
