Clear round plastic bottle, disc top cap, matte rose gold, 300 ml

A transparent plastic bottle with a capacity of 300 ml and a disc top cap in a matte rose-gold finish is a container for liquid and semi-liquid cosmetic products dispensed in small amounts with one hand. It is suitable for shower gels, shampoos, conditioners, body lotions, liquid soaps, and massage and body oils. The bottle is made of PET, which is lightweight and break-resistant, making it suitable for the bathroom, shower, and travel. The clear material lets you see the colour and texture of the contents as well as how much product remains.

The cap combines an aluminium shell with a plastic interior and a white centre. The matte metallic surface gives the packaging a calm, clean look that stands out on products intended for retail or as a gift.

How a disc top cap works

Pressing one side of the disc flips open the dispensing opening on the opposite side; pressing it back closes it. The cap does not unscrew during use, so it cannot be lost and the bottle can be operated with a wet hand.

• Dispensing by squeezing the bottle – the PET wall is flexible, so the amount of product is controlled by how hard you squeeze.
• Small opening – limits contact between the contents and air or shower water, which is particularly practical for water-containing products.
• Closing by pressing down – the disc snaps flush with the cap. When carrying in a bag it is advisable to secure the bottle against accidental pressing.

Which products suit this combination

It works best with products that flow on their own or can be squeezed out easily: gels, shampoos, liquid emulsions, and oils. Thick creams, butters, and balms will not pass through the small opening and residue would remain in the bottle. A jar or pot is more suitable for those. Very thin aqueous solutions can be dispensed, but they flow quickly with a firmer squeeze. A spray is therefore more commonly chosen for tonics and hydrolats.

Nominal and total volume

The nominal volume is the volume the bottle is intended for under normal filling conditions. The total volume to the brim is the physical volume up to the neck and is slightly larger. The difference provides a reserve for the cap and for expansion of the contents with temperature changes. The bottle should therefore be filled to the nominal volume, not to the brim. An overfilled bottle may push contents out through the dispensing opening when closed or warmed.

Useful information

Before first filling, the bottle and cap are washed, disinfected, and left to dry completely. Residual water inside the packaging increases the risk of microbial contamination, and in anhydrous products it may also cause cloudiness.

For products with a high proportion of essential oils, fragrance compositions, or solvents, it is advisable to carry out a compatibility test with the packaging. A filled sample is left to stand for several weeks while the shape of the bottle, the clarity of the wall, and the scent of the contents are monitored.

The clear material does not protect the contents from light. Products containing sensitive plant oils, extracts, or natural colorants should therefore be stored away from direct sunlight.

The bottle and cap are declared as suitable for contact with cosmetic products. The combination is intended for cosmetics, not for food. The smooth cylindrical wall makes label application easy; the dimensions needed for label design are listed in the product parameters.

Once empty, the bottle belongs in sorted plastic waste collection. The cap combines aluminium with plastic and should therefore be disposed of separately from the bottle.
