FAQ - Frequently Asked Questions

How do I use a cosmetic base?

Simply mix the base with fragrance, colorant or actives according to the recommended dosage. The product can be filled immediately into the packaging without the need for heating, unless otherwise stated by the manufacturer.

Is it necessary to add a preservative?

The finished bases contain a preservative to ensure their stability. When diluting significantly or adding sensitive ingredients, we recommend that the effectiveness of the preservative is checked and possibly supplemented.

How much fragrance can I add?

The normal dosage of fragrance or essential oils is 1-3%, depending on the intensity of the fragrance and the type of product. Please refer to the IFRA documentation provided with each fragrance for exact limits.

Are cosmetic bases suitable for sensitive skin?

Yes, most bases are designed to be gentle and free of irritating ingredients. For sensitive skin, we recommend bases without perfumes and with the addition of vegetable oils.

What packaging is suitable for finished products?

For gels and shampoos, use bottles with pump or flip-top caps, for creams use cups and airless packaging. Always adapt the packaging to the viscosity of the base and the method of application.
