Glass bottle, clear, 18 mm, 15 ml

A 15 ml bottle made of clear glass is a small container for cosmetic products where the contents need to be visible. The colour, clarity and fill level are visible through the transparent wall. This makes it suitable for serums, facial oils, tonics, samples and travel-size formats.

Glass is inert to most cosmetic ingredients, does not allow air to pass through and does not absorb the scent of the contents. The bottle is therefore also suitable for oil blends with essential oils and for alcohol-based preparations. The packaging is suitable for contact with cosmetic products.

What the clear bottle is suitable for

• Facial serums and oil blends – the small volume matches products that are dispensed drop by drop.
• Tonics and facial waters – combined with a spray pump or cap for trial and travel sizes.
• Samples and test batches – during formula development, colour changes, haziness, sediment or phase separation can be seen through the clear glass without opening the container.
• Perfume and fragrance blends – glass does not affect the scent and tolerates a high alcohol content.

Clear glass and light protection

Clear glass does not protect the contents from light. For fillings sensitive to light and oxidation, the storage conditions of the finished product therefore matter. These include oils with a high proportion of unsaturated fatty acids, essential oils, plant extracts or vitamin C. For stable fillings, transparency is an advantage, as customers can see what they are buying.

Nominal and total volume

Nominal volume is the amount the bottle is intended to hold under normal filling. Total volume to the brim is the physical volume up to the neck and is always higher. The difference serves as clearance for the closure, dropper or pump, which take up space once fitted, and for the expansion of the contents with temperature changes. The bottle is therefore filled to the nominal volume, not to the brim.

For a custom combination, we recommend checking the seal and dispensing performance with your specific formulation, particularly for thinner oils and alcohol-based fillings.

Good to know

Before first use, wash the bottle with warm water and a cleaning agent, rinse thoroughly, disinfect with isopropyl alcohol or ethanol and allow to dry completely. Residual water inside is a risk particularly for anhydrous oil-based products, where it would introduce moisture.

Glass allows for repeated use. A closure with a seal or dispensing mechanism should be replaced when refilling, as it is harder to clean than the glass itself.

The label is applied to a dry and degreased surface. Dimensions for label design are listed in the product specifications. Glass is a fully recyclable material.
