How dispensing works

The disc top opens by pressing one side of the centre disc, which flips open the dispensing outlet on the opposite side. Pressing it back closes the cap and the bottle can be carried. Contents are dispensed by squeezing the bottle, so the amount is controlled by the force of the squeeze.

• One-hand operation – the cap does not unscrew or need to be set aside, which is practical for products used in the shower or with wet hands.
• Controlled flow – the small outlet releases contents gradually, preventing spillage.

Which products is the set suitable for

The set is designed for products that flow on their own or can be squeezed out easily:

• Shower gels, shampoos, and liquid soaps – typical use; their consistency matches the size of the dispensing outlet.
• Conditioners and body lotions – suitable when they are of a thinner consistency; thick creams and butters are difficult to squeeze out and tend to cling to the walls.
• Massage and body oils – dispense well; with very thin oils, expect a faster flow.
• Facial waters and tonics – possible, but thin water-based products flow out quickly; a spray bottle is more convenient for these.

Nominal and total volume

Nominal volume is the quantity the container is intended for under normal filling conditions. Total volume to the brim is the physical volume of the bottle up to the neck and is slightly larger. The difference between them provides headspace for the cap and for expansion of the contents with temperature changes. The bottle should therefore be filled to the nominal volume, not to the brim. Overfilling will cause contents to enter the thread when the cap is fitted, contaminating the closure and making the bottle appear to leak.

What is worth knowing

Preparation before filling. We recommend washing both the bottle and the cap before first use, disinfecting with isopropyl alcohol or ethanol, and allowing them to dry completely. Residual moisture inside the container is a particular risk with anhydrous products and oils.

Filling temperature. PET tolerates heat less well than glass. Products manufactured hot-fill should be left to cool before filling, otherwise the bottle may deform.

Contact with food. The food-contact approval applies separately to the plastic bottle. The cap does not hold this approval, so the set as a whole is intended for cosmetics.
