Product description
Dispensing with one hand directly from the bottle – that is the main purpose of this ready-made packaging and closure set. It consists of a clear plastic bottle with a rounded shape and a nominal volume of 750 ml and a white push-pull cap. It suits every application where liquid contents are dispensed without unscrewing – shampoos, shower gels, liquid soaps, conditioners, or body lotions of thinner consistency. The larger volume is practical for family-size packs, refill packs, and for manufacturers who need a single container for an entire product range without having to source a separate closure.
The transparent material lets the contents show through, so the customer can perceive the colour and clarity of the product and easily estimate how much remains. The push-pull closure opens by pulling the dispensing tip and closes by pushing it back down, so dispensing can be managed with one hand even in the shower.
Key benefits
- One-handed dispensing – the push-pull cap opens by pulling the tip and closes by pushing it back, with no unscrewing and no risk of losing the cap.
- Clear bottle – the contents are visible, which is an advantage with coloured gel products and when checking the remaining amount.
- 750 ml volume – suitable for larger packs of daily-use products and for refill packs.
- Lightweight, shatterproof packaging – the plastic bottle is safe in the shower and during transport; unlike glass, there is no risk of breakage.
- Ready-matched combination – the bottle and closure share the same neck type, so there is no need to verify thread compatibility.
Suitable products for this set
The push-pull closure is designed for liquid and slightly viscous contents that flow by their own weight or with gentle pressure on the bottle: shampoos, shower gels, liquid hand and body soaps, thin-consistency conditioners, body lotions, or bath foam. With thicker cream-like textures, dispensing through the narrow tip is slow and inconvenient – for those, a pump dispenser or a wider neck is more suitable.
The set is declared as suitable for contact with cosmetic products. The food-contact certification applies to the bottle individually; the push-pull cap does not carry this declaration, so the set as a whole is intended for cosmetics and not for filling food products.
Before first use, wash both the bottle and the cap, disinfect with isopropyl alcohol or ethanol and allow to dry completely. Fill only into a dry container – residual water could dilute the contents and reduce the efficacy of preservation.
Nominal and total volume
The nominal volume is the volume the bottle is designed for under normal filling conditions – in this case 750 ml. The total brim-full volume is the physical capacity up to the neck and is slightly larger. The difference provides headspace for the closure and for expansion of the contents with temperature changes. The bottle should therefore be filled to the nominal volume, not to the brim. Overfilling risks content being pushed out through the closure at the first squeeze or during transport.
Good to know
- Light protection – the clear packaging does not protect the contents from light. Products with sensitive ingredients (essential oils, plant extracts, certain colorants) should be stored away from direct sunlight or a dark container should be chosen.
- Essential oils and solvents – with a higher proportion of essential oils, alcohol, or other solvents, it is advisable to check the behaviour of the plastic with the specific formulation, particularly during extended storage.
- Heat – do not fill the plastic bottle with hot contents. Allow emulsions and gels to cool to room temperature before filling.
- Sealing and dispensing – after filling, we recommend testing whether the closure dispenses smoothly when the bottle is squeezed and does not leak in the closed position, especially with more viscous contents.
- Reuse – both the bottle and the cap can be reused after thorough washing and disinfection.
- Labelling – the rounded shape of the bottle requires a more flexible label that conforms to the curvature.
- Recycling – this is plastic packaging; once emptied and rinsed, it belongs in sorted plastic waste collection.
The push-pull cap is not a child-resistant closure. Products that must be kept out of the reach of children require a different type of closure.
If you prefer a different combination, closures with the same neck type as well as other ready-made sets are available in the Handymade range. With a custom combination, we recommend verifying the sealing, dispensing, and packaging behaviour with the specific formulation.
