Is this plastic bottle suitable for repeated use?

The packaging can be reused if basic hygiene rules are observed. Before each new filling, the bottle and the dosing pump must be thoroughly cleaned and then disinfected with a suitable alcohol-based preparation, for example using isopropyl alcohol of technical grade purity or ethanol suitable for surface disinfection. For this purpose, you can use the products IPA 99% isopropyl alcohol or Ethanol 96% denatured, plant-based. Disinfection must be carried out before each new filling in order to minimize the risk of microbial contamination of the product.

How should I properly clean and maintain the plastic bottle with dispenser?

After emptying the contents, it is advisable to rinse the bottle and the pump with warm water and a mild detergent, then rinse thoroughly with clean water and allow to dry completely. When preparing for a new filling, we recommend disinfecting the packaging with an alcohol solution, for example with the products IPA 99% isopropyl alcohol or Ethanol 96% denatured, plant-based. Avoid using aggressive cleaning agents that could damage the material, and always check whether any residues of the previous product remain in the pump system.

How can I safely dispose of and recycle this plastic packaging if I no longer want to use it?

If you decide not to use the packaging any further, we recommend completely emptying it and removing any product residues before disposal. Then follow the recommended method of sorting based on the material specified in the product parameters on the Handymade.sk website – place the packaging in the appropriate container according to local waste sorting rules. The pump may be composed of several types of plastics, so it is advisable to follow local instructions for sorting so-called composite plastic packaging. In this way, you support material recycling and reduce the amount of mixed waste.

For which types of products is the dosing pump most suitable?

The dosing pump is ideal for liquid and semi-liquid formulations such as body and face lotions, gels, liquid soaps, light creams and hair products. It works best with products of low to medium viscosity that can be easily drawn into the pump mechanism. For thicker formulations, we recommend carrying out a trial filling to verify smooth dosing and the return suction of the product into the pump system.
