Is this plastic jar suitable for repeated use?

The jar can be reused if you observe basic hygiene rules and an appropriate cleaning method. Before each new filling, it is necessary to thoroughly wash the packaging, dry it and then disinfect it. For disinfection we recommend using, for example, isopropyl alcohol IPA 99 % or plant-based ethanol Ethanol 96 %. Allow the disinfectant to act for an appropriate time and before filling make sure that no residues of alcohol remain inside that could affect your product.

How to properly clean the jar before the next filling?

After emptying, remove the residues of the original product, wash the jar with a suitable cleaning agent and warm water and rinse thoroughly. After drying, we recommend disinfecting the inner surface and lid with alcohol, for example IPA 99 % isopropyl alcohol or Ethanol 96 % denatured plant-based. Let the packaging air-dry in a clean environment to minimize the risk of microbial contamination before refilling.

How to safely dispose of and recycle this packaging if I do not want to continue using it?

If you decide not to use the jar any longer, we recommend first removing product residues and, if possible, rinsing it. Then proceed according to the recycling symbols and material markings given in the parameter table for the product on the Handymade.sk website. Place the packaging in the appropriate sorted waste according to the type of plastic. Ideally, the lid should be recycled according to its material as well – if it is made of a different plastic than the body of the container, it is advisable to separate these parts. By following the recommended sorting rules you support a more environmentally friendly approach.
